But I think now that the buy out has not happened in this promo, when it does happen, its going to be permanent.

fun times.. people were stepping over each other to buy LLL.in names not too long ago..

Now barely anyone cares with the inventory building up. I've been mentioning this for months, and I was mocked for it.

The "PROMO" prices went from 8.99 to 3.99 due to the low registrations and lack of reception.

DirectI reduced from 11.99 to 5.99 to 3.99 and still the registrations are failing.

Looks like .IN is getting as bad as .INFO due to bad policies

Sad, how bad planning and management by the registry can be screwy for domainers.

True.. $7 fixed will be boon to domainers, but will screw up legitimate businesses.

@14 it is insane to be domainer in .IN names as the cost of renewal will bleed you dry if you hold for more than 2 years. Right now the market might not turn around in 3-4 years at least.

ASP for .IN now dropped BELOW the REG fees now

We reduced out portfolio by 60% in the last 1 year. We sold most in summer last year and a bunch in the last few months. BEST decision ever!

LLL.COM's are selling at 50-70% discount. The rate of return on .IN's dropped to 6.8% and that is with premium names

I take exception to that choice of words. :p
It's hard enough to get away from the "squatter" label. I for one am doing everything I can to provide value to customers.

So far as the future of .in domains, most of mine are slowly picking up traffic. Nothing gangbusters, but the trend is positive. Either way, my renewals may sting a bit, but they won't break me. That's why I didn't go crazy with the cheap names from Mitsu. I haven't forgotten they will mostly need at least a couple years of renewals. If it's not worth renewing at $14, then it's not worth buying for $4.

My LLL.ins are picking up with regards to traffic. some are getting 1-5 uniques/day. if you have meaningful, possible acronym LLL.in names, youi could easily be in luck and get a nice bid on your name. in the mean time, grab nice ones, and hold. Yes it'll cost me $14 to renew, but i know the name is easily worth the reg fee, so i'll renew. Lol. We'll see how things go....

I was going to do a longish reply to your rants but its pointless with a 'know it all' and whats worse, this isn't even the place to do it. I wonder though why you're carrying negative investments in your books, since you still seem to holding on to 40% of your 'portfolio' or maybe the entire number was too insignificant to start with?

We're at 19.75% unregistered atm it seems, what do you think jagusa, equilibrium around the corner viz. drops?

I went through the last list that was posted... a lot of the names were taken already. The ones without QXZ etc, double premiums were all gone. Not sure how upto date that list was, but at least 20% of that list was taken.

The available LLL.in are now down to 3179 (down from 3473). We may have seen the peak -- pending and scheduled delete number about 60.

Less than 100 LLL.in in the queue pending or scheduled to delete (that's low compared to recent numbers). There's a nice three letter word .in pending delete restorable. Will be keeping my eye on it.
