I'm trying to learn PHP and was wondering if any of you know some good sites with tutorials and stuff. I know php.net is good, but do any of you know any other sites with good tutorials?

also is this the right thread? I'm not sure

I recomend getting a CMS to learn from. The way i see it is, Content Managment Systems incorporate tons of php, almost all of the most common stuff. So if you look at the source and think about how things are done and how its coded to do so, you can teach yourself. At least thats how i did it.

I had a quick look at that other thread, but I couldn't find SitePoint. That's definately an excellent source. They also sell a PHP book (but it's not free).

Mayb you can check some websites that provide free php source code such as http://www.pscode.com and http://www.hotscripts.com their you can have a look at diffrent ways other people code.
