For all of you who went through the Answerable to BigRock migration... Make sure you are not missing any domains on your account! They lost one of my domains, and they aren't helping much.

I still don't understand why this company made so many changes, to end up with the same lousy service and support.

Finally my domain appeared. It's with Bellnames.com. Anyways they had switched my whois info to private, never told me anything nor gave me account details, moved all domains from answerable to bigrock except this one, and now want me to transfer because "they can't move it to answerable"....

Why would they move your domain away, put privacy on it and not tell you?
Were they hoping you wouldn't notice?

I had several domains moved to BigRock.com

I guess I need to go through and make sure they all made it.

We confirm that all domain names have been moved from Answerable to BigRock

@werty please send us an email at support[at]bigrock[.com] and we'll make sure that you are provided with an update of what happened and the best course of action

@brad -- it took us a couple of days to make sure that all domain names have been moved from your answerable account to your bigrock account. If you find any anomaly in your list of orders, just drop us an email at support[at]bigrock[dot]com and we'll surely take care of it.

I just checked to make sure all domains were accounted for. I found 4 domains are missing out of about 65 total.

The 4 missing domains are still in my whois information, but are missing from the control panel.

I contacted Big Rock's support via Live Chat and got nowhere.

First a sales rep who could not help, then referred me to a technician who kept telling me the domains were never with Answerable, which is wrong. The domains were purchased through Snap and in my Answerable account.

When the switch was made they are not in my BigRock.com account.

The link from SnapNames for the domain management on those 4 used to show Answerable.com, now they show BigRock.com

I talked with everyone at BigRock and the best response I got was an "ohh really". My domain is stuck with bellnames.com now. This doesn't make any sense for me, all others were moved, and I feel like filing a complaint with ICANN or Verisign.

It doesn't surprise me to be honest that things just go "missing", however it is quite poor when all they needed to do was move change the ParentID.

But that could be a good sign (sorry chaps) that if they have had to move the domains, then it could well be they are no longer storing all the registrars in one database, time will tell.
