Why would anyone drop them while they still easily sell well above reg fee? That wouldn't make any sense.

some people (not me, of course) expect that 10,000 LLLL.com will drop in the next few months. thats the reason for this poll

No. I traded up from anti-premiums to major brandables.

For most i have the matching llll.net - not dropping those either :D

I'm not above getting a few more... if and when i can.

I won't be dropping any. Most of mine are already renewed. I might sell a few next year if prices pick up again, but plan to hold most for years to come.

I also do not plan to drop any. just finished renewing all my LLLL.com up to February. Will continue on weekend to renew more (with current $6-7 pricing). I want to renew all my .com domains expiring in the next 12 months before the first of october when the prices will rise.

Hmmm, I have thought about dropping and probably would if it was a VERY LOW quality. I had a couple bad ones up for renewal now so I used them to test eBay. Needless to say I lost about $10 each, some sold on eBay for $10-$15.

But MWZD just gave me an idea, I will trade up from my lower quality ones for higher quality.

Low Quality / High Quality is in the eye of the beholder. Every country has different premium letters. Most end users don't have any clue what a "premium" letter is defined as, or the value of different patterns. End users are looking for the names they need, regardless of letter quality of patterns. If your company name is Quality Used Jet Parts, then QUJP.com is what you want, regardless of the letter quality. But, in general with lesser quality LLLL.com, there are less potential end users.

I don't feel all premium letters are created equal. There are a lot of Quad Premiums that don't have much of a chance of finding an end user.

They look to be only a couple of dollars above reg fee at the minimum (if that). If price continues to decline it may get to the point where some people will deliberately do not bother renewing. How many people will renew a name worth say $5?

Since they are "only a couple of dollars above reg fee at the minimum (if that)", I will make this offer and see how many takers I actually get.

Any LLLL.com that have 6+ months reg left on I will pay $10 for. That offer is a couple dollars more than Reg Fee. I don't think I will get many takers.

I haven't voted for anything. Probably have 10 or so. Largely names I have had for a long while.

Here is a better idea, go to places like ebay and actually buy the ones that are selling for that price!

Funny how you say you'll buy them then start adding criteria like they must have 6 months worth of renewal, it reminds me of those old llll.com excuse threads where we all think up crazy reasons why the minimum price is actually higher than what they are selling at. "that name wasn't registered at godaddy", "it only had 2 months renewal", "the letter combination is bad". Anything but having to admit to current market prices.

You say they are selling for a couple bucks above reg fee. Reg Fee is say $8 for 1 Year. Show me 1 LLLL.com that sold for $10 with a year of registration left. You tend to overstate everything.

Snoop, your entire goal seems to just be bashing LLLL.com. You seem to only show up when there is a low sale. Basically just ignore the sales that contradict your conclusion, and point out sales that support it. Cherry Picking. How about an objective analysis?

I said the minimum was around $10, if 4 letter .com's that have a years renewal paid on them were selling for $10 then the minimum would be about $2.

Does anyone remember what happened to LLL.us after buyout? I did not witness it, but as far as I read on forums, apparently LLL.us rose to $100 on buyout hype (same as LLLL.com), fall back to few $ per LLL.us (same as LLLL.com) and then rose back to current $50-100 levels and are fluctuating around them. Is it true? Anyone was following it?

I can't remember how high they got initally, but it does sounds about right, I remember some selling for $2-3 on afternic.

The problem mainly with it was only a couple of people had done most of the buying. I'm not sure how low lll.us is at present, but it looks like it is south of $50 (no idea how far south), and that is after people have been paying 5 years of renewals with the overall domain market booming through most of that time.

I only have around 50 LLLLs now, and have already renewed them till 2009 or 2010 with the money I earned by selling a few of them. Overall I've made around 25% pure profit on LLLLs this year so far...
