Hi, I'm new here, and I'm hoping all you wonderful experts out there can give me a few pointers. You never know, I might even be able to help at some point too!

Well, to the jist of the matter. I would like to set up my site so that my 'ast updated' date can be read from a file so that I only have to type it in once instead of accross the whole site. Would there be any way of doing this?

S'ok, got it sorted. If you want to know what I did, i just wrote a wee javascript library in notepad:

document.write("last updated 24.05.05")

Saved it as update.js and then wrote a wee line of code in the web page pointing to the .js file:

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="update.js"></script>

I know, it's a really simple thing but it might come in useful to someone someday.
