converting .sql from version 4.4.2 to newest

How do I convert an sql dump from version 4.4.2 to the newest version?

Do you mean MySQL? What SQL vendor are you referring to? In the case of MySQL you shouldn't have to convert anything; the 4.4.2 backup should execute just fine in 5.x
