However due probably to fact that those tutorials were written in 2004 few things change... and I stuck with setting my php. I downloaded ok... and trying to find some files that suppose to be changed... but they do not exist. Can anyone PLEASE help me a bit .. and explain if i have to download in this case installer version and if it will work for the purpose of learning php... and trying to learn how to make accessible forms working. Please... i only want to learn those as it is hard to find scripts to create forms... i am not a programmer... wish i was. Want my site have pro look with forms and quotes ... and cannot afford to buy anything ... so best way is to just learn..

I wonder why some people ignore www.php.net and look for php related info on other sites

There is a whole section full of documentation and instrucions about installation, usage and troubleshooting @ php.net

If you uploaded php and configured it depending on your server, it should OK, test it. You only need to modify the php.ini file in php directory.

Thank you for relpay... no I have not ingnored php... i downloaded files from there. I have followed tutorials ... and instrucitons included. My server before I started to do changes worked perfectly well... I loved tutorials by deadserious here ... that is why I have posted questions. I am not a programmer... just a silly desisgner who wants some forms (active forms to be included on my site) I was serachring for help with forms. I got forms but could not find anwser how to programm them so they send autoresponder to sender.. with their name. Finding info.. about php then.. and then i learn i nedd isntall it server apache and php and mysql to learn script ... so that that is what I am doing. But my goal was to just to put on my site couple of forms like quote and workseet... so they can be send to me.

Php site is too technical for me... all i can do at my age is follow tutorials... i am not so good as so many young people. Just want to make my site work... and cannot afford to hire programmer. I have found many good tutorials about php script.. but testing become very ackward... so wanted to install that server... and YES i AM FEEING STUPID... but that is not my pice of cake.

Ask me about movie production.... or graphics.. and available software on market for producing images..or desktop publishing..
but server and php is new to me..

And by the way php.net have nice tut about forms... but they all assume your server is running well....couldnt find decent tutorials there on Apache tough..I think in this case i just cancell all.. and install iis as installer apparently do all well

Most of tutorials refer to different version... may be that is why it does not work... i downloaded latest 5 and 4.4.. still could not find tutorials.. And really do i have to understand those... ?
