This is a little strange. I went to GoDaddy to register a domain that expired several hours earlier. GoDaddy showed it as unavailable to register but that it was available on GoDaddy Auctions (TDNAM) for $1050. I then went to Moniker and registered it for $8.59.
GoDaddy needs to fix something here... they shouldn't allow unregistered domains to remain in the GoDaddy Auctions marketplace. What happens if I thought my only option was to buy it for $1050? If I paid GoDaddy, what would they do? Register it and transfer it to my account? Refund my money and tell me to register it myself for $10?
I'm sure this is happening a lot more often than just this case alone... Is there a GoDaddy rep here that could address this issue??
