I've just won at auction:

T*TS.asia (Asterisk applied for decency)

Overture/mo - 1,096,751

Wordtracker/day - 116,912

Huge figures - Huge keyword...!!

I know its an adult name - but, its huge....And, asian adult material has unbelievable appeal in the western world. So, the word is a great fit with .asia extension, I believe.

I'm happy with this one.

.

yeah it looks like thats the only one on here recently that i would buy..
good job

Can you reveal how much you paid? I would have thought demand would be pretty high for that one?

There were over 40 bids for it...I got it for $2,450, in the end.

...With Wordtracker showing 116,912 per day for the keyword - that's over 3,500,000 per month....making it an incredible generic keyword.

The subject matter for a site is at the softer end of the adult market, with a strong subset of interest in the asian variety.....I see the potential of a site with strong revenue possibilities - including strong & profitable, well-established affiliate sources that are already readily available.....The rest would be down to good SEO & indexing....

It'll pay for itself very quickly, after I get it up, imo.

I won these names in the auction:

INC.asia
T20.asia
Suites.asia
MerchantAccount.asia

Each one of them is huge searchable keyword at google + plus all major TLD's taken + we have all developed sites when you add .com to them other then (suites.asia)

Name i like the most is INC.asia

Not bad...considering it is 3 chars and quite brandable. Wouldn't really call it a premium generic per se nor highly relevant to Asia but still a decent grab. I actually thought your other ones were better ;)

Hi everyone,

these are some of my generic ones:

Condenser , asia (Capacitors, condensers (heat transfer, laboratory glassware, air coil, microphone, steam locomotive, synchronous condenser))
Regs , asia (Registrations, registrars, regulations...)
Sound Of , asia (for a music label, music portal, mp3s or directory of artists)
DVB-T , asia (ATSC for most asian and european countries. Correct spelling with hyphen)
DVBT , asia (ATSC for most asian and european countries.. will be quite big I guess)
ProSound , asia (Professional sound enforcement.. taken in all major tld's)
Gazi , asia (very famous name/title in asia)
Memristors , asia (this is generic too! comming revolution in memory- and other technologies)
BitMap , asia (well for pics or digitalized maps)
C64 , asia (Commodore 64 or 64 bit computing.. actually a slick 3 character domain)
Rocka , asia (not generic, but I like it :hehe: )

Regs, asia might be good esp if you develop it.

Thanks James! Rep added..
Yeah, I thought too about developing some of them.. I'll see what the next weeks bring in .asia domains...

What do the others think?

I think sound of asia is a cool hack.. since there are so many different kinds of music arts and instruments comming from asia... but could be wrong of course.

Dude, you should be happy with snowleopard.asia -- Apple just named their new OS 10 version Snow Leopard...although Apple has that trademarked and you might have to give it up...

http://gizmodo.com/5014644/confirmed-mac-os-106-is-snow-leopard

Thanks, cool, i didn't know that ;)

Hmmm...i dunno about that. I have a legitimate site for it and regged it before they announced their new name. Surely i wouldn't have to just 'give it up'?

Yeah you got a point, if you had it up and running before they announced that they will call it "snow leopard" then you should be fine. Besides your site has nothing to do with their operating system. Plus "Snow" and "Leopard" real words and together is an actual animal. Quite generic no? I don't know much about legalities, but I'd hope you'd be fine with this.

Good luck with it.

Spellbound.Asia

I bought about 150 .Asia names and want to thin my collection down to about 100. I put Spellbound.Asia up on eBay for the heck of it to see what response I might get. Starting price is only $24.95 - the name is registered with Domainmonster.com until May 12/09.

Google Trends show Australia & New Zealand as the 2 biggest countries searching for "spellbound". This name could be great for travel or whatever your heart desires. 5,500,000 results for Spellbound with Google. Under Google images I have seen Spellbound as the name of a perfume, movie, winery, bed & breakfast, books, documentary, magic show, spooky tours, etc.

If you don't want to bid on this on ebay - send me an offer here.

I have also had several type-ins on my wayfarer.asia name and am also looking at selling this name. PM me your offers - wayfarer: "one who travels".
