Purely on the domain itself, the name is basically worthless.
If there is a website/business attached then the value is there.
Otherwise it comes down to who wants it more, a potential acquirer or the current owner, and what that number is.
Solid name. Plenty of extensions taken, fair amount of use in business, and a generally nice sounding brand in a strong niche.
As a baseline I’d price a name like this around $25-50k. Less if I wanted it to move quickly, more if research...
You literally said:
"Crypto a d related has been my biggest niche. I've made 5 figures in crypto related sales over the years, but they dried up for me after last year. I don't anticipate things picking up either."
You call it "failing logic"...
I voted fair for both sides.
In theory it could sell for a lot more. But I also wouldn't be surprised to see it sell for less.
I figured even at $1mil wholesale that's a great return.
Based on the SEC filing the domain was valued at $8.5 but the title of the article is a little confusing as it makes it sound like it was part of a bunch of intangible assets in the sale that in total were valued at $8.5.
