Thank you! That's good news. I had stopped trying and had just gotten into the habit of going to Chrome for Afternic uploads. I'll try Firefox for my next upload.
It's ridiculous that the verification NS is not really used in these cases. It seems so simple. That should resolve these ownership questions promptly and definitively. It does not. Afternic uses it selectively but it could do much better. If...
GoDaddy's registration path is not the best or most reliable. I see names pretty much every day that are offered as premium listings that I know are bogus. Your situation is not at all uncommon. It is sloppy and this does put the burden on you to...
Yes, this happens frequently. Rather than searching manually one-by-one, I recommend using GoDaddy's bulk search. https://www.godaddy.com/domains/bulk-domain-search
If it is strictly a GoDaddy auction listing, you could try contacting them. I...
Yes, it could happen to any of us. It is troubling. They might have some reason or concern but it's too long and it's really cold to leave a seller hanging like that without any clarity or payment.
There probably is a text string, even just 3 letters, that matches something in their database. I'm guessing that they will clear it if it reaches a human who cares enough to take the time to evaluate it. I've not been too impressed with Sedo's...
My experience with GoDaddy auction listings being a problem is with old, outdated listings causing occasional problems for my listings -- ones from listings that likely were valid in the past but never removed.
I don't know how easy or possible...
Most days I will first check my most recent adds at https://www.godaddy.com/domains/bulk-domain-search
That way it's a small number and I can see that the listings are active and also verify that the pricing is correct.
After checking recent...
I'm sorry that didn't work for you. I'd guess that the problem could be a GoDaddy auction listing. Those seems to hang around forever even after you add and verify a name with Afternic. In my experience, the old auction listings need to be...
I would suggest re-adding them. I'm finding that new adds are dropping from my account quite often. They seem to stick after the second add. Should that be necessary? No, but I check all of my new adds the day after. I also recommend using...
Yeah, I had wanted to like them too but hassles such as you experienced and red flags from others' reports took my confidence level too low. It's nice to get a low price but the trust factor, usability, and responsiveness matters.
That's a powerful statement and very well said. I don't think that GoDaddy acts with that level of cooperation or sincerity ever but you stated why gutting Afternic just felt wrong to me. Thank you.
Domain Portfolio. Search for the name. Select name. Click on more. Export as CSV. Include auth code. Provide that auth code to Afternic as requested.
I promise that I've done this many times.
My experience with these Afternic sales is that even during 60-day registry lock, I unlock the name and provide the auth code for names registered at GoDaddy to Afternic. The transfer happens. Payment is made.
