I am guilty of thinking if you wanted to advertise on twitter you first needed followers to advertise to. This is not true. You can have your tweets available to everyone on twitter by using hashtags.

Hello Friends......

Hashtags are essentially a simple way to catalog and connect tweets about a specific topic. They make it easier for users to find additional tweets on a particular subject, while filtering out the incidental tweets that may just coincidentally contain the same keyword

I just read that google penalizes tweets that contain hashtags. Not sure if this is founded or not, or if the benefits outweigh the penalty.

Anyone have any input on how google handles tweets with hashtags? I guess my best advice is do not overdo it and use hashtags on appropriate words and not jsut the current trending topic.

I'm also trying to figure out how Google handles #Hashtags. I have searched and I can't seem to find a definitive answer on the subject.

I've heard of this one too. But I am more inclined to not believe this one. Using hashtags is a valid way to catalog and classify tweets. I agree that the safest way is to not overdo it.

I've had some tips to get good traffic on twitter, it's something very helpful but also requires more time.

Nice, but i am still confuse on using hostage, does it really worth to use it?
for example, i want to search #backlink ,does the result will be only the ppl who only tweet with #backlink hostage?
