Highest Hyphenated Domain Sale Ever Reported Leads This Week's DNJ Top 20 Chart

The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. Hyphenated domains have always been viewed with disdain by most American domain investors, but those in Germany take a different view and a buyer based there has paid the highest price for a hyphenated domain ever reported to us (a .com domain that went for over $200,000).
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/industry-news/610569-highest-hyphenated-domain-sale-ever-reported.html

.Coms dominated the action this week, accounting for 15 of the 20 chart entries. The highest non .com domain is a German language .info that went for over $16,000. The remaining places on the leader board were taken by a pair of .orgs, a .net and the lone ccTLD on this week's list, a .co.uk domain that attracted over $9,000. I'am a big fan of hyphenated domains, currently in process of acquiring some more hot ones.

Child Abuse
There's always a gap between domains that domainers like and domains that end-users like. Hyphens can be a hard sell, but there are some nice ones out there.

InsanerDomainer is an unknown quantity at this point

Just my noob opinion, but so far it does seem like domainers get overly hung up on technicalities. They want names that meet a large number of technical criteria. If you think you'll be selling to other domainers, then that's the game you have to play. But one thing I learned from trading stocks is that the worst thing you can do is follow the herd, because you might turn out to be the very last buyer. It's better to try something a little unorthodox.

And honestly, I find the hyphenated names easier to read.
