As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Skateboard / Rack () com - $395 [picked up for $79.00 - Jul-22 SnapNames]

The name was from a list I won at a Nameflipper.com auction (JoshuaPz) - These lists really are worth the investment - one sale from a list pays for it 3 times...

Nice work! Were you approached or did you pitch an end-user?

I closed two deals in the last few weeks:

lEmersionlolorg - $300 ($8.99 GoDaddy backorder)
lLunarlLightinglolcom - $500 ($60 Pool backorder)

Both end-users approached me and both domains were from Josh's lists.

I simply sent an email out to about 10 end users (just typed in "BuyTargetedTraffic.com" in the google search bar, and cherry picked the top 10 companies amongst the 1st 5 pages. This is, for me, the most effective and successful system for finding the best candidates fast (businesses that could benefit from owning my keyword domain).

when you guys say you flipped it on sedo... someone randomly bid on it, or you put it in some kind of auction?

I simply listed the domain on Sedo, priced it to sell fast ($1,000) and got an offer shortly afterwards ($250) that I negociated up to the final sales price ($660).

Hey Fed,

Of your parked domains that you sell, do most have an asking price or just make offer? I have never figured out if one is better than the other.

On mine, all my sedo luck has been with a price. I negotiate from there. On names I know I can make a lot on, I just leave it offer.

gigatone()com $300
One I forgot I had but emailed the end user again and finished the deal.

Its good to email end users every 6 months or so to 'remind' them.

Just sold stratagem / group / com for $1,000 that I picked up for less than $15. The offer came thru GoDaddy's domain buying service. The deal was made quickly (less than 2 days of negotiating) but receiving payment took over two weeks. I acquired the domain from one of Josh's lists, which I recommend to everyone. The lists make it easy to identify and market very good domains to potential clients. Personally, I've made several thousand dollars in profit from Josh's lists.
