Hi guys,

I'm curious if anyone of you encountered a similar situation lately.
Last week I regged a domain and 3 days later I received a 'value estimation' from DomainEstimator d0t c0m for the domain.
I have registered and bought over 100 domains in the past 2 years but was never informed on its 'value' by another company only a few days after registering it.
I write 'value' because it's clearly a bot estimation (low xx.xxx, yeah right!) so I guess it should be looked at the same way as Estibot estimations.
Anyone encountered a similar situation?

I went back to gmail for my registrations and now most such mails go directly to the spam folder.
It was headache some time before with all the appraisal / sale letters cluttering the inbox. And after more than 3 months of clicking the spam button, there is some relief.

I noticed a pattern.

1) I register a domain name at GoDaddy and then list it at a popular "Parking Site"

2) I check how many "WHOIS" searches are performed on my domains, and of course the newly registered names have multiple lookups (example - registered a domain a couple of days ago, and yesterday there were 12 lookups, and today there have been 3 lookups so far).

3) after a few more days, I will get the email spam talked about here

I wonder if there's a common thread behind all this:

a) newly registered names at Godaddy?
b) newly parked domain names at specific parking sites (In my case it was Voodoo . com) NOTE: at Voodoo, there are no hits so it's not like someone is typing in the name and going to the parked page.

c) any newly registered domain name?

Question: Does anyone know if these spammers have a way to see only NEWLY Listed names at Voodoo? Or NEWLY registered domain names?

You should have 2 email addresses in this business: (1) Your registrant email; and (2) Your business email in IMAGE FORMAT.

99.95% of domainer garbage will almost always land on your registrant email, because they are easy to crawl by freakin software.

Most legit buyers will spend enough calories to read your image format email, compose a message, and type your email in the "To" field.

Anybody can see the newly registered domain names.

I just send it to the garbage and delete.

These people are truly awful. Their removal request is total crap and every time I go to reg a new name I end up getting their pitch a day later.

They appear to either be hosted or registered with internetbs.net so I wonder if enough complaints can get them taken offline?
