love.gd wasn't registered when I just checked. No spare money today. Good luck.

Domain Registration Rules:
Local Presence:

Local presence is not required

Requirements:

There are no restrictions

Multiple Domains:

allowed

Registration Contract:

2 Years

Registration Fee for most Names:

$ 250.00

-----------

Seems to be a poorly supported ccTLD with an unprofessional site that doesn't even use the same extension. One site linked to http://nic.gd for whois information, but that turned out to be a bad link. $250 is pretty steep, you could buy a couple of LLL.mobi's and sit on them and make more money, imo.

According to AdamsNames.ts, the reg fee is $50/year.

ripley.

damitssam,

How much does the registration cost my friend? Is a 2 year registration mandatory?

Sincerely,

DJ

i think it's too expensive for a starter.

and there's already too many domain extension now adays. i think it seems abit diluted. what you all guys think of it ?

I think I would've registered, sex, porn, poker, bet or 888 if I'd beaten sam to it. :) Otherwise, eh.

ripley.

The people running these obscure extensions at outrageous dollar reg fees sit back and laugh at us while we swarm in for our overpriced pickings. My guess is whoever's pocketing .GD domain profit makes more money this week than any single person buying one. Learned my lesson on .PK and .MN, skipping this one.

(Although I still think loans.mn and insurance.mn are awesome domains for any company in Minnessota ) :)

that's what i am trying to tell them . maybe damitssam open that domain. lol

it;s too overprice for it's own good.

great investment. i have been tracking this extension for a while and was annoyed to see Sam got to it first (although i beat you to .kn ;) )
you may have realised that i nabbed a.gd from you before i went out to uni. was gonna clear up the single letter names but i had an exam today so i regged a.gd before i went out and returned to find them all gone :(

well done for beating me

thats nonsense, especially for premium names like sam got. i have regged domains as much as $1000 a year and still sold it for profit. it is only $50 ;)

well, the single letter names are worth $500 wholesale anyway. poker.ext are worth minimum of $1,500, casino.ext minimum of $2,500 and names such as www.ext, co.ext and com.ext are extremely rare and valuable. i have been specialising in cctlds and there is a lot to be made from them

Your contact data seems to show up in whois for most L.gd's and N.gd's...?

Edit: By the way, how do we pay for all the names? Do we get billed later?

In regard to paying for my domains, here is a copy of the email I received from the registry:

Dear Craig

Thank you for your email. We invoice in the month following registration, so we will send you an invoice in January.

Please could you wait for your invoice to pay.

Email and paper invoices will be sent to:

since they are just $50 each , at least those premium names could be sold for at least $100-$500 IMO.

I think I will pay an outrageous amount of money to buy an island, pay ICANN to allow me to register a domain name recognizing my existance, and charge the heck out of new domain name registrations (like the Isle of Man, that is .im).

I figure within about 2 weeks time, I can make back my initial investment for the purchase of the island and the ICANN fees and bribes. Kind of like an IPO.

Well, it looks like I have managed to grab a few good ones. I wonder if I'm allowed to keep all of them or if the registry takes some of them back... Time will tell!

Thanks for letting us know! Np$ donated to you damitdsam. :tu:

Before everybody charges out on a yet another obscure cctld check Sedo names for sale on the names you are thinking of regging - chances are you will find there are a very large number of Whatever.cctld available for sale ( there are more than 20 for business.cctld alone!).

Not all names sell , even with top keywords,(Casino.cctld - more than 20 for sale) the more cctld are available the more will be left in Sedo's etc sales book.

Just be aware, and put a little more thought in to regs, don't just follow the herd. JMO

very expensive in short.

I know .mobi is not a ccTLD, but what you said above is exactly what I thought when I was staring at over 100 LLL.mobi's available to register. Within a few days, they were all gone and were selling for $100-200.

So, don't let the fear of just following the herd keep you from taking educated risks. Like wot said, put a little more thought into regs. With that being said, I think .gd names, even the strong keyword names, won't be too successful.
