SEDO and PayPal fees

Do you get charged a fee when you receive PayPal payment from SEDO for domain name sales?

I am asking because I've never been charged a fee when I've received payment from SEDO for domain name sales.. until today when I had a very unpleasant surprise. If I'm paying SEDO a $300 commission for a $3K sale, why on earth should I be charged a fee for receiving the money? SEDO should pay that.

I've only done one sedo escrow and PayPal fees weren't deducted. Maybe, like other transactions, it depends on whether or not the buyer paid Sedo with cash or a credit card? Cash = no fees, credit card = fees. Just a thought.

Yes, I know from a buyer's perspective that when you pay SEDO through PayPal an amount over $500 they ask you to add PayPal fees..

On the other hand, I believe Afternic's escrow fee covers the PayPal fee no matter what..

So why SEDO, why?

I'm looking to hear about your experiences of paying or not paying a fee to receive payment from SEDO for domain name sales through PayPal

I should reiterate that I have no idea if that's what's in fact happening, it's just a guess.

Glad, you put in a POINT here ..... Anyways I'll keep this in mind and see whether the same happens with Afternic, snapnames , so on .......

Im thinking that sedo (such a big company) usually pays off via bank to paypal? So theoretically, you shouldnt be charged paypal fees.

I think they removed paypal fees a month or two ago, i remember reading it in a newsletter. It could have been another newsletter though :(

That being said, can we use a personal paypal account to accept sedo payment?

Central, most sellers prefer CC payments rather than cash ..... In my case 97 % pay through CC and ONLY 3 % pay through cash .... So I have a Premium a/c
