Like many other Npers, I am looking towards developing some of my better domains, rather than leaving them in declining PPC. I would really appreciate seeing some examples of 3-5 page mini-sites with Adsense, Adbrite etc that Npers have developed for their domains.

I'm not asking for postings of Whypark, Imodo etc mini-sites, as these types of sites are covered elsewhere in other threads. I'm hoping to see some (inspirational..) examples of mini-sites developed from scratch or using available templates. If you'd like to showcase or share, I hope you post some links to your sites. Thanks in advance.

Mod Edit: No more than five live links per post.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
This one is for Poker Ebooks

Just a quick start but i like the black background that makes the rest stand out

Another i have made a start on is International Travel at this point i have just established which template i am going to use, travel and holiday sites require a lot of content and i am not sure how long until it willbe finished ?

Anyone tried Squidoo to create minisites?

I like it because you don't need a domain name and hosting, it's very easy to build a page, and the lens ranks in Google extremely well (without any backlinks).

For example, I set up a lens about pocket watches for men a week ago. If you search for the main keyword, my site is on the second page, the 20th site out of 18 million. If you use "pocket watches for men", then my lens is on the first page (out of 128.000).

And the best thing is that this is just the beginning, because: if more visitor arrives from Google, the lens will rank better on Squidoo. And if it ranks better on Squidoo, it's going to rank better in Google.

So you would say it is worth it paying for example 250 to have someone make a minisite (like aeiou) if you do not have the time/fun to do it yourself.
Considering 250 is 12 months of 20 dollar and then you are "homefree" and the value from your site has gone up.
Do you need high quality domainnames to make 20 dollar a month with minisites?

Pay for your own hosting, learn wordpress or Joomla (takes all of about 5 minutes for the basics), find some good content (not as hard as you may think) and profit.

Hosting per year(shared) $160 - give or take. Why bother paying anyone to do it when, once you get used to it, a site can be up and running in ten minutes or less. Do it yourself and it's all your profit. :)

Happy to agree with this and to even say that i purchased 3 years of hosting for this price when a local aussie company was having a sale it was better for my .com.au names, yes do try and learn about wordpress ..... there are a whole lot of templates out there and a thousand and one plugins to help enhance the project, it is only getting better as time goes by. I always use a goole analytics plugin which helps me verify ownership which once done and i submit a sitemap and the site is indexed over night, i use a google sitemap plugin for this as well, many people try to hack my sites but wordpress firewall 2 plugin keeps them out and besides there is a simple export tool that allows you to make a backup

All of my sites listed in this thread are wordpress and i am pleased i made the effort to learn.

I would only use squidoo to make links for my wordpress sites \

I'm looking for feedback on one of my latest

The Challenge to make Advocacy for People with Disabilities, Children, Young People and the Aged POP.

Cheers
Corey

Thank you in advance

Your sites are good and I've noticed they're all indexed and well-ranked -- What do you use to design your sites and where do you get most of your content from?

Well loaded fast...look visually clean.
Since first time, I seen a QR code on a website. now I know where to put one (learned something that I was to shy to ask lol)!

Also wondering..is there a reason why the "search box" is in the footer?

Nice site, wish it was mine!

Actually you are a bit off target because this is the Paking and Monetization section and all of these mini sites should be showing how they are acheiving income ??

That site has no form of either ??

Sorry to sound harsh but that is the truth of the situation

Most people surely inderstand the 'whois' part , i see no reason to explain it.

It could be linking to the other sites

Really not sure why my feedback was criticized?

I will sound harsh...I gave my opinion, my honest opinion! That all..if my opinion was not suitable for this thread or the site was not acceptable for this thread...I prefer to let a moderator or administrator...edit or remove my comments!

All I did was to give a feedback to the best of my expertise (never claimed to be a parking/momentization guru) and asked a legitimate question!

One last point..(checkout my TR and you will realize that I buy domains and the occasional sites) so
these mini sites should be showing how they are acheiving income
maybe just maybe..I might be thinking of buying a site...which would be a sale (income) for the mini-site owner!

The owner's name is cory so i doubt she will wish to sell, i was justing pointing out where we are and what to look for when observing a site listed here, no big deal but the idea is to see how these sites will make money so we all can learn along the way.

Don't take it to heart

(1) Here is my first posting in this thread
http://www.namepros.com/3199230-post524.html
so I take offense to
this where we are and what to look for when observing a site listed here
..I am not new to this thread! I do check out some of the "mini sites" that are posted here for ideas etc!
(2) My exact words were
maybe just maybe..I might be thinking of buying a site
..where did I mention that I was buying from Cory? My main point is just my rebuttal to your
these mini sites should be showing how they are acheiving income
..a point that you seem to ignore or downplay. Also..I strongly believe that up to the "site owner" whether or not, they will sell a site!

Maybe just maybe, you might answer my question..
is there a reason why the "search box" is in the footer?
.

Bear in my mind..I am not taking it to heart..simply because you lecture me about
i was justing pointing out where we are and what to look for when observing a site listed here
meanwhile between post #1901 and #1902..I see this

This message has been deleted by mis_chiff. Reason: link to parked page
and then there the "tag"...maybe just maybe..this is just a self-serving thread?

So how can "I take this to heart"...I am here to learn, I have no ulterior motives, just a quest for knowledge...

That's closer to the spirit of the tread

Are they all original content

how often do you update it/add

Are the templates original ??

Are they linking to each other ?

....good stuff

Thanks,

Yes, everything is unique. I create all my own designs, for better or worse. Some turn out better than others :)

I use xara designer pro for most of my smaller sites, such as these. I generally buy the images from istockphoto or fotolia, and I have a great content writer.

I mostly do static sites so I don't have to worry about updating for as long as possible, but typically make changes to ads when affiliates change, or if they are not generating income, I'll go back and move things around to try to improve click throughs or sales.

not worth arguing with you .........seems you have a knowlledge base so i just hope you get involved with development like all domainers should at least try once, mine are only wordpress but for certain names it's better than parking

Here are some of my own minisites

http://pomegranategreentea.com (new)
http://claymoremine.com (new)
http://travellingstudents.com
http://farmingcourses.com (earns some income, which has increased lately)
http://lawsuitfinancing.info (income covers more than the yearly renewal fee)

I liked the look of travellingstudents.com but you need to get some more content and fill the blank advertising spaces, should be able to do that via theme options, there should be some boxes for you to put the code in.

Worth adding a little content once a month to keep them fresh

Buy Claymore Mines ?????? ......LOL
