Now online. That was a first. Our database just stopped working...for an error I still have never seen or heard of in my life, apparently a bug in a Windows driver (go figure).

The pages are up now and revenue has been credited for the downtime between 07:25 CST and 10:59 CST. I apologize for the downtime.

Being integrated. I will let everyone know once it's live on their domains. :)

I haven't managed my names on Bodis for a while, but when I went there today to do some housecleaning and add more names, I wasn't able to delete names I no longer own from my account. I checked the names, hit the delete button and...they're still there. I even tried it one name at a time. Nothing doing. Any ideas?

Looks like an issue from a recent update that may have caused a bug in deletion. I will have this issue fixed up. Also have received a support ticket about it, so will have it fixed by end of today in a nightly update.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Payments for October have not been sent out yet. Since it is about NET 45 after a month's end, your October payments would come at the end of this month.

In a few months I plan on reducing the wait time from NET 45 to either NET 30 or NET 15. I will have more news about that by the end of this year.

I hope the new landers and inquiry system make a difference. So far, even with the new feed, November slumped worse than the economy. Here are the overal stats for the last few months and for what used to be two of my consistent earners:

August total visitors-1494 total revenue-$61.10
Sept total visitors - 1052 total revenue $46.65
Oct total visitors - 1403 total revenue $41.22
Nov total visitors - 635 total revenue $13.81

August - Domain A visitors 202 revenue $16.98
Sept - Domain A visitors 271 revenue $20.69
Oct - Domain A visitors 227 revenue $16.31
Nov - Domain A visitors 102 revenue $6.78

August - Domain B visitors 487 revenue $21.61
Sept - Domain B visitors 148 revenue $6.95
Oct - Domain B visitors 208 revenue $10.23
Nov - Domain B visitors 7 revenue $0.00

Quite the drop.

Verbster, my results have been very similar to yours. Bodis Version 1 was the best. Version 2 had a very big drop and now with the new feed another big drop. Doesn't bode well for Version 3. Lets wait and see.

i m doing better right now with Bodis, slight worst than 2 months ago but still good compared to Bodis last 6 month, of course Bodis when it first started was one of the best experience ever :D

i have a question for whoever knows:
Does bodis support parking idn domains?

Yes Bodis supports "IDN domains", Internationalized Domain Names Domains hehe. ;)

I guess the question I have to all 3 is: How does the revenue on these domains compare to other parking programs?

The only thing that has the ability to increase revenue in next week or two would be the new templates. It would take a few days for them to optimize once they are live.

But if that won't do its job, then I don't know what else in the short term would be able to help.

The reason the templates may help is because they appeal to different types of domains, and are 1-Click so they might just work better for international where ad coverage is scarce on the 2-click.

Good idea. I'll try these two domains elsewhere and let you know...maybe a week at two places. And I'll move one with steady revenue at another parking company here to make that comparison. Unfortunately, I no longer have big traffic names elsewhere, as that would be a better test. I'd really like to see a domain making $20 plus per day at Fabulous or somewhere try it here for a week. I'm beginning to think it wouldn't really matter. What I'd like to see are the numbers for parking company revenues, feed provider revenue and Adsense to see how they have done over the last year compared to their customers.

Unless some new provider emerges for domain parking advertisements, I don't think you'll see parking company revenues, feed provider revenues, and customer revenues.

Truthfully, there aren't many businesses out there that would do that in this world. From a business standpoint, very bad idea as it leaves businesses vulnerable to its competitors that can use numbers to their advantages.

Also, most of us have confidentiality agreements that prevent us from doing that (in the parking space). Bodis has a very strict one with the primary upstream provider. I assure you that the chances of that happening are less than 1% in the next 10 years for any parking company in the space. :)

I go by this motto: what you make, is what you get. No matter what revenue share you're on for any parking company, what deals they have in place, what provider revenue shares the parking company has, etc - it will all come down to how much you make at the end of the day.

But please let me know on your experiments with other parking companies if you get around doing it. I am interested in hearing. I've heard a mix, some domains perform better at Bodis, while others elsewhere.

There is definitely things that can be improved. The templates are the last big thing I can think of that is within reach of Bodis for the time being.

There can be other small things every few weeks, such as CPM based advertisements, and decreasing payment wait time which can help some that actively re-invest their parking earnings, so those things will help a little.

But I do know for certain there are many people that are extremely happy with Bodis that have moved their domains over.

I'd wish more people would test at least a few domains for a week (that's 7 days, NOT 1 day ;)), and I am sure they'd find many of these that are doing better than everywhere else.

Afterall, Bodis is growing week over week, so something definitely is working for some. And no, not scammers. :D

Thanks in update Matt.

I been seeing some nice improvements since the change as well.

I have noticed this that can help some possible

When you add a new name to bodis, the image will not match the keyword. I suggest you go through your portfolio and see if the image matches area of name. I haven't gone through each of my names and see the image but that's what I noticed. Had one name niche cashmere .com name and the image wasn't matching

Last week I had a nice .73 cent adult Spanish .com day and that was also encouraging. Name didn't do much at other places and doing ok with bodis.

Matt your on track, your up front of your customers and working hard for all of us. Imo I would rather be supporting a person working very hard and sometimes bigger is not better with parking companies. Yes I have other parking accounts but I'm happy so far at bodis. I'm willing be patient on things and the new templates should help. Your approach is right on the mark imo. Templates, shorter payment terms next year.

Matt says a week, I think you need more then a week imo. I am testing a name at bodis I recently acquired and first day parked it looked like .37 cents. I was like wtf? 5 days later it jumped up to 1.55. So that was within a week but the provider needs some history of your traffic and get an indication on things.

Thanks Jeff for kind words :). I wonder how you knew so much! lol JK.

Yes today I was supposed to be going to club Pacha in Manhattan but decided to stay home and work a bit on Bodis. I was supposed to be an alcoholic for the night, but ended up being a workaholic. :D

I keep making a mistake when I say new templates. What is being released is NOT JUST new templates. There are three things:

1. 4 new templates themselves, possibly 5 if I can squeeze in the last one that is in the works. This alone can improve revenues for many domains.

2. A new photo matching system. The photo matching will be MUCH more accurate than what we currently have. Leaps and bounds. And the galleries are MUCH bigger. The user does not get a choice to select photo, but there is a good reason behind that - because the photo matching system will be very accurate. It uses a contextual data analysis algorithm to match photos. If your photos are on auto, this is one of the main reasons you'll see a revenue increase.

3. There will be a way to contact the owner of a domain name for those visitors that are interested in making an offer.

After this is live this month, the next thing will be reducing the payout term.

Not sure if this has been asked before - is it possible to have the clicks counted and CTR show in the earnings reports?

That means i cant manually select photo from gallery as i used to do?
This isnt the best thing for domains with international traffic as from my experience standard image filters are mostly based on US customs.

I'd say it's a general trend all over. Revenue has gone down, down, down all over. :'(

I do hope that the photo matching system is a vast improvement over the present one, because the experience I have at the moment is about 70-75% of the photos chosen are totally incorrect. :|

Every once in a while I just get ticked off at how a customer's piece of the pie keeps getting smaller and smaller, but there is no way to tell if the company is simply narrowing customer profits in order to keep owner profits from dipping much, or if company profits are declining in an equal ratio to those of the customer...and both are toughing it out. I would much rather tough it out with someone who was in the same boat I was because I would know we would both have the same goal and could work together to reach it.

That's what I was yapping about with my purely rhetorical desire to see revenue for parking companies, feed providers and Adsense (Google's end, not the customers'). Of course they won't show earnings (except if thery are a publicly traded company, and even then what's reported is done so in a way that's usually impossible to understand by common shareholders). Showing profits that haven't dipped much would be like GM executives flying in their private jets to beg congress for a bailout...it's kind of like twisting the knife. People don't begrudge a company making a profit. They just hope to be treated fairly and get a little more of the pie when times are good and not lose more than their share when times are lean. Wishful thinking, I guess.
