Type of Contest : LOGO Design

Prize : $50.00 via PayPal

Contest End Date & Time : June 11, 2009 @ 10pm PST

Size Requirements : Should be able to resize the logo to any appropriate size

Color Requirements : Open to any color scheme that looks good and "pops" on a white background

General Requirements : Logo is for a local business directory called Ocalainc.com.

Would like to see some variations with the tagline "The Ocala & Marion County Business Directory"

Logo should include the .com

Ocala and inc should be somehow distinct from each other (typography, color, etc)

Site will be B2C (business to consumer), so something that is consumer-friendly would be perfect.

Additional Information : As far as everything else goes, I'm really open and I look forward to seeing what you all come up with!

Don -- much better. I really like this one.

J-MAN - I like #2 and #3 the best

diephilippa -- This isn't quite hitting the mark for me. I think the script font is a little too romantic for this type of site. The palm tree and swoosh in the middle seem like three disjointed parts. There isn't really a clear connection between the three parts.

Electric Shadow --- This is okay. It's very simple. I think the colors could be a little better. It seems a little too subtle as-is

Not bad marcello. Out of the four candidates, I like the color combos in #1 and #4. Could I see #4 with the orange circles linked as in #3?

One thing I haven't seen yet is any logos that combine an illustration with a text logo -- similar to the NamePros logo

I would love to see that option from anyone who is good at that style.

I like the first one. The one who is the top. But my feedback on that is the color. Cos it's not really attractive. Why don't you try to put some little combination that attracts the viewers. Somewhat like light but strong colors..

Thanks for combining those versions marcello. I REALLY like this one.

Your example of the text + illustration isn't exactly what I was looking for. I didn't mean a box around the text logo. I meant something more like the NamePros logo or any of the logos in the portfolio at Logo Design

The new color combos give me some interesting options too. Great job!

Thanks for entering umxca. I was hoping you would have some time to throw your hat in the ring. I like these a lot. I'd like to see some different color combos other than the orange and blue as well.

I like the orange+blue color scheme and it's definitely appropriate for the area, but I'm not married to it by any means. So other color combos are welcome.

Nope I did not. However, Electric Shadow did post an entry. I hope you choose to participate as well

J-MAN -- I like your other entries better. The sun with the "i" just doesn't work for me.
