Sedo Jobs Auction

Interesting that Sedo has a dedicated auction coming up in June for Jobs/Career/Employment related domain names. Not quite sure what drove them to do this..

I am excited to see what happens at the auction, considering this is the first dedicated auction in this niche..

Any thoughts...

It's a total crapshoot as to what Sedo will accept into the auctions too. I submitted great .ES names for the Spanish auction that had received multiple 500EUR bids that were turned down. So they are willing to turn down names with clear demand?
Plus they turned down a couple traffic/generic Spanish IDN's I submitted despite the fact I sold 4 Spanish IDN's through them last year ALL in $XXXX including juegosdeniñas.com, $3900.
They also turned down GOD.pe, which I'm not at all surprised about since it's .PE, but still Spanish! I heard 'god' was pretty popular around the world, and it has loads of traffic and even ok revenue, so I gave it a shot.
Hopefully I'll have better luck in the jobs auction, I have one good Spanish one I'll be shocked if they turned down.

No argument here...I will give them this much, they do get back to you in 24 hrs usually.

I give them credit for coming up with this focussed/niche domain auction, they may be onto something.

The Jobs auction has now disappeared from the schedule...

Perhaps the people organising it have been made redundant. :p

The Jobs Auction page is gone..but it still shows up as an option in the control panel for submitting domains.

Will see what they do..

I enquired at Sedo for more info on this auction and received the following from John Jacobsen today:

We will be reviewing and considering all related job domains that are short, fulfil our quality criteria and and have a high selling probability. Here are some additional requirements for the job related domains:

1) Anything related to a particular profession, such as doctor.com, footdoctor.com, intern.com, secretary.com, etc.

2) Any location with a generic profession or industry, like NYCLawyers.com, BostonTemps.com, etc. We would like the location or area to be populous, the industry to be large, and the TLD should be .com only unless it pertains to a different area, like LondonJobs.co.uk would be fine, or docteur.fr would also make sense.

3) Any other catchall in the employment industry, like Resumes.com, HumanResources.com, TrainingCourses.com, Interviews.com, Getajob.com, etc.

It's still missing from the forthcoming auctions page, but submissions are ongoing as the option still appears in the drop-down menu at the bottom of the Domain Management page.

Submitted JobsHospital(.)com & JobsNurse(.)com both got the Q return email so no go... not sure what they were looking for, even started them off at the min $60 start price, I saw even lamer names on prem list at greatdomains so im done.

I submitted 5 names about 4 days ago that all showed that not for sale/grey box thing..for a while. Day before yesterday, 4 were rejected (I assume), since they went back to the for sale status. I still have one, that is still blanked out, yet I haven't received any sort of communication from SEDO period.

I had a few come back with SEDO asking me to reduce the reserve price to zero, so far haven't listed them.

My domain aragonempleo.es fit criteria #2 perfectly. Aragon = Large region in Spain, a couple million people. Empleo = employment/jobs.
"Aragon Employment" , steady traffic and revenue since registration, and 100% rejected. :zzz:

It was rejected.

Just entered constructionwork.asia
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Don't expect an approval because it's a dot asia.
But who knows?

Update: you can submit names to "Jobs" auction in the normal Sedo submission interface.

That link didn't have the job auction info. Is it still scheduled?
