Hi

For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

I'm not trying to sell this product (I have nothing to do with Verizon), but products like this have the potential to bring .tel to the non-tech, landline crowd. A mobile-esque landline phone???? This is most likely a transitional product that will eventially fade away (like the old Polaroid), but will build a bridge between mobile and landline.

Today, I told a friend about .tel. I gave him my contact .tel, and he popped it up on his iPhone.

He asked, "Where can I get my .tel?" So I suggested Domainmonster. Although it's a bit more expensive, the panel is the easiest to use (IMHO).

Although my friend has an iPhone, he is NOT interested in building websites, but he's definitely interested in the webless web space; he thought my "plain" contact page was the coolest thing. When I told him how easy it was to change contact info, he was sold.

Telsters and non-Telsters: my non-techie, iPhone-crazy friend represents a huge market for .tel.

What I am planing is that add the contact information of all US and Canada airlines including Customer service, flight information etc.
Maybe later add all the airlines in the world.
Because the advantage of dottel domain is good for mobile devices, so it is very easy for people to get these airline/flight information on the go.www.TheAirline.tel

habaer, great idea but becareful, you may contact airline companies before adding their infos because these are serious contact infos and if you mistype phone or they change their infos and wasn't update you could end with problem, I recommend you having a short terms and agreement stating that if contact wasn't current, you are not responsible... something like that.

Some websites purchase yellowpages database for a city from a third party provider, and it may be a bit outdated...

What are the repercussions of having a wrong info?

What are the repercussions of having a wrong info?

Having wrong info can end of being sued because of link to reservation phone number and these are serious thing, what if it was wrong and the customer was mad missing is flight or other reasons simply because he couldn't get in touch with reservation desk? He might complain to the airline company and say it was on ------.tel
I've been in business directory years ago and my lawyer told me to always add a terms and condition that says you are not responsible.... if you don't accept these conditions you may leave our business directory.
Also we sent a mailist to all companies we ve list with a letter that inform we've add free in our directory and if you don't want to be in or want to modify your listing, please contact us, you also can upgrade.... fees. If we do not heard from you, you accept to be listed.

I toyed with the idea of talent.tel for quite a while as a landrush as it was available for a surprisingly long time, not a bad name at all. I particularly like your goji.tel. That's a killer product right now and a great one to put affiliate links on.
