Check the end of the thread for the latest LLL.in drops. Current full available lists are posted intermittently by members, and the most current would be toward the end of the thread also. Otherwise, user Chandan often has an updated available list on his external site, here: Available LLL.in Domains list - Indian Blogs

Very encouraging ! :)

And for the occasion, an interesting article by Ron Jackson on the buyout phenomenon:

Personally I think those 11 remaining domains will show up on next year's droplist :|

I don't think it is a good idea to align your strategy to that of a man who never sells a domain name. Elequa can afford to collect domains at a loss.

Also, there are some flawed ideas expressed in that article:
This time the expenditure allowed him to do something he loves more than anything else – create. In this case he instantly created a market by removing supply from the 3-letter .biz/.info supply and demand equation. Even though as new extensions the demand is currently relatively low, there is enough demand that when you pair it with zero supply, prices start rising. Average high bids on three-letter .infos have roughly quadrupled at Namewinner in recent days (Namewinner does not chase .biz drops).
Scarcity does not automatically create a market. And that article is 7 years old already, tell me how much typical LLL.biz or .info are selling for these days ? Assume their value has really quadrupled, they are still selling for pocket change, in fact they are hardly selling.

I think the buyout concept is a domainer myth. In general when domainers attempt to corner a market they end up dropping everything after losing money on unsustainable domains.

If you really want to invest in acronym domains, I think it's wiser to look at mature TLDs like LLL.co.uk, .de or even .pl, and of course LL.de if you have a comfortable budget.
.in is a path of least resistance where you shouldn't expect strong rewards. It's just too easy to lose money with domains.

Agree to most of your argument except the part that says to invest in mature ccTLDs for LLL domains. Buying LLL in those extensions is not cheap. .in is not as mature as .co.uk or .de but is getting there maybe with fits and stop.

Buying .in names at this stage is an investment like the people who bought .co.uk and .de years before. With every investment there is a risk factor and also the requirement of patience. If I may complete your sentence:

.in is a path of least resistance where you shouldn't expect strong
rewards.

.in is a path of least resistance where you shouldn't expect strong rewards.... too soon.

When i look at some of the available numbers, i CANNOT convince myself that .in is not a good extension to invest in.patience is the key, because you almost guaranteed your investment within several years(even if its 5) if you wait out long enough. Its the ccTLD that won't stop booming.

I never said I aligned my strategy on this article. I said it was interesting :)

Buyout permits to sell domains at domainer price to pay renewals, like a lot of people are doing here.

And everything depends on your investment horizon. If it's 2 years, you are right. If it's 10 years... Who knows ;) ?

sigh.. if they only were $1.89 to renew aswell.. :(
I have like 350 of these but I'm not sure if I should renew all of them or drop some.

I hope so, because I have buying and holding LLL.us domains since 2005. I am still wondering if that was such a brilliant idea.
The reality is that each extension is different. They do not all appreciate the same way.

Doesn't it cast a big doubt on the value of your domains ? You're not even convinced they are really worth $10 a pop.
NB: I'm not blaming you, I've even dropped LLL.us domains that weren't the worst of the worst. Cash flow just isn't there.

Don't let them drop. drop of 350 names will change the prices in .IN domain market. Better to sell them. You can start the auction with low initial bid. Quality names will sale for good money while junk sale for start price. Getting few $$$ is better then nothing :imho:

why are you posting these names when most of them were regged yesterday?

It would appear there are a lot less premium LLL.in drops. Even the non-premiums that drop are getting snapped up pretty sharpish.

I personally don't think the buyout will hold very long - I don't think it should... there are some absolute stinkers which will only get dropped at renewal time. A lot of people are buying names due to the $1.89 promo. But instead of wasting money on 10-20 of these, the money would be better spent buying one or two half decent name. At least come renewal time, you'll actually want to renew one name for $10-$12 instead of 10-20 poor names at $100-$200!

The good names, whether thats all premiums, semi's or double premiums will always hold value. The fluctuation of prices due to the buyout are generally amongst resellers (domain investors). The value of names to end-users aren't affected by the buyout. They will pay what they feel the names are worth to them.

All my end-user sales this year have been double or single premium letter names. I receive a few enquiries on the all premium names but mainly from investors via sedo. Its a long term strategy with these names though... However, I've yet to receive a single offer on names with X / Z / Q etc. from an end-user... so they get dropped.

Maybe its just me?!

Anyway, good luck to all.
