Hello, I think it would be pretty useful to keep track of all LLLL.com sales , even the little ones under $100 so that , pretty soon , when the available LLLL.com will be finished , we`ll have a better idea on market prices.

It is important that these sales are confirmed. So before to post, make sure payment went OK.

I will start with todays` Sedo confirmed sales:

FISE.com 2,700 Euros
TSRT.com US $760
VEUP.com US $1,700

Also, I found interesting to see this average LLLL, getting bids up to $51 and reserve not me. It says it all.

i agree that it's namejets business but it's a poor practice. to me the purpose of a back order service is to do just that, back order the domain name for me.

godaddy does not showcase there back orders. i use them a lot for keyword domains and do pretty good.
There are dozens of people who agree with you, but there are also dozens of people who wish to snag the same name from you as well.

In a perfect world, the first person to backorder the name should get first dibs on it. But the backorder companies know they can make big money if they let all backordering go to auction. It's a dog eat dog world.

they added it to there site so others can bid as well. That really sucks
Hehe. What about the other 16 people that also backordered it, half of which probably BO'ed before you.

I'm another one of those who paid for a domain listed by "Janel Clowes" on Sedo, it was SQQQ.com and I promptly and never received the domain.

Hey, I know this is a little late in the game, but just to be clear, don't deal with Thomas Clowes. I got the email too, (which I got excited about:)) and told him that it would look stupid for me to post something about his auction. We could work something out with an incentive.

But I shouldn't deal with him.

Edit:

http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=janet_clowes&ftab=FeedbackAsBuyer

His ebay seems legit. Over 1,000 posistive trades, some being domains (e.g. llll.coms)

I was backordering it via Pool information. First I go to pool. Look at nice domains and backorder them via NJ/SN/Pool.

Finally NJ seems not to attract as many bidders as SN. The name finally went to SN auction with 21 bidders

I have had some deals with this Clowes in the past.
He has listed on eBay some VCVC.com domain names with a wrong expiration date: the listings said they would expire in 1 year but in really they were already expired.
Since the registrar was name.com, they use to "renew" the domain until the owner pay for the renewal (or the domain would be deleted), so the whois looked fine.
After he pushed the domains to my account (i don't know why, but on Name.com it's possible to push expired names) and i have noticed that, i asked him to refund me part of the money and he did with no problems.

Anyway, i'm not telling everyone has to trust in him, but i have no problems on these deals (i've bought some delicious VCVC.coms for low-mid $xx). Maybe he uses to be honest on eBay and not honest on elsewhere? We will never know.

Hey guys, i'm very glad to see LLLL.coms market is slowly rising up again ;)

More often than not, people have more than 1 account here to shill bid on their own names, form pseudo identities, or to break other rules without consequence.

There's no logical, legit reason to have multiple accounts, certainly not 40(?) of them.

Be careful dealing with anyone banned here or elsewhere -- more likely than not the reason is justified.

Oh i didn't know that... well, yes, absolutely don't trust in him.
Even if i and few others had good experiences with him.

At least, i'm not going to bid on those domain names.

Note about My Dealings With Tom Clowes on ebay (since it seems to be a topic here)

It would have been late 2007 the last time he bought domains from me, he paid quickly and the deals went through smoothly with no issues, names sold from memory were oxud (com) and zaym (com) could have been more, but those two of the top of my head.

This is my own personal experience selling domains to Tom Clowes. What you make of it is up to you

Josh, raredn

(Note: Tom Clowes did not contact me about this, I felt I should give a true account of my experience as it was not negative, it is the right thing to do. That said I have never bought anything from Tom Clowes, I have only been the seller. So I can only give experience from a sellers point of view)

Let's please keep this on topic and not give any more attention to someone who doesn't deserve it.

Has the clowes seller been banned anywhere?

Clowes was banned for bad business and other stuff we don't allow.

Selling / promoting sales of such people is neither allowed nor appreciated.

Next person to pump his sale might find them following in his footsteps... as in getting banned from NP.

Why does it show like there are pages 532 and 533 though this is the last page?
I also seem to have a new private message for about a month though I have read ALL my messages...

Something's wrong with the forum :)
