.mobi LLL.mobi's just tanked

They just dropped at that price guide to $95 from $150. Percentage wise I think that's the biggest drop I have ever seen at the site.

Does that officially ring the alarm bell for some mobi enthusiasts? $95 ain't so great if you have LLL's from sunrise. Heck...I am kind of sad since I own a DXD.mobi but what can you? And yes...many will say that the price guide is just a guide but it's one used by a LOT of domainers as an indicator of value.

That was it's high of $200 I believe. Also the $95 price represents the same price as of Jan 2007 which is just 2 months after launch. Sad news indeed but please...go ahead and find the silver lining as I am sure many mobi fans will.

Some of you think it's funny about the comment I made about houses being compared to mobi. You obviously fell right into my lap to prove a point. You don't have anything better to do than to sit in the .mobi forum and post because you feel threatened by .mobi. There is no other ligit reason for you to even be in here. I don't go post in .tv or .us because I don't have a vested interest in those domains. Not because I think they are good or bad. You should really look at your goals in business and reconsider why you are even in this thread.

Tired argument, this is a discussion forums, people have both positive and negative views on different domains and will express them. The cheerleaders think the naysayers feel threatened, and the naysayers think the cheerleaders are deluded.

I can honestly say - I've never felt "Threatened" by the extension. I have literally been "Threatened" by some of the owners of the extension ... But thats another story

.com prices are also down. If you invested in a LLL.com a few months ago then you probably lost a couple of grand in the short term, IMO. If you invested in a LLL.mobi a few months ago you probably lost a meal out and a movie, again short term, IMO.

There is no reason to be threatened, .mobi is just like a .com but on the other side...

So what if .mobi redirects....but one point....Most if not all redirects are from .com. Which means they are "related to each other in someway"

I have yet to seen a (. what ever redirect to a .mobi) As I know it, All I have seen is .com redirects and .mobi stand alones.

Need to put it in terms of %'s, investing $200 isn't comparable to investing $8000. In terms of %'s I think the .mobi's are down 75% this year. lll.com's seem to be down 10% from the peak for the worst combo's, probably more like 30% for the better stuff.

I think it is the the fact that they went up by such a large % in a short space of time, then crashed just as quickly. If .info had done that people would be talking as well.

You are entitled to your opinion. So as of now, what does the mainstream consider the best way to access the mobile web? Is it m., .mobi, something.com/mobile? IMHO nothing is cemented as the premier way to access the mobile web.
