500

I would get 1 quality LLL.mobi as they are going up every month (see premium letters) or even a NNN.mobi (I would stay away from the number 4). Other then that watch quality/brandable/pronouncable LLLL.com's that are dropping.

good luck, Gary.

Most definitely... And to think that was regged in 99! Man some people are on the ball (no pun intended there hehe) D-:

Newbies... Read this with extreme attention. It's a lesson in how difficult it is to find a half decent .com nowadays :D

theres so many suggestions in this thread i'll have to go do some homework. I see lots of things mentioned here being debated like the value of .mobi and if LLLL.com will ever be bought out, and I didnt really think much of .us before your replies

can you all give a time frame as to how quick you think a name like LLL.us, LLL.mobi can be sold? or anything else mentioned.

I have .com i'm watching been sitting there for several years with no updates and will expire in a few months, no response from the owner, im debating if i should hold onto my recent profit and try to bid on it or find a quick way to increase my buying power, or just forget that and go another route

Im with peter, you can score some decent LLLL.com's pretty good, and they seem to be fairly liquid if you know where to move them. And if your smart and or lucky, you might even stumble across a real winner.

are you referring to LLLL.coms that are still available? where is the best place to move them, you can PM if you dont want to post. i see people selling one eBay I tried to sell a few there not such great combos, sometimes get regfee sometimes no interest

I would go after and start reselling liquid names, LLL NNN's

I would NOT start registering lots of names, I would save the money for 1 or 2 "good" ones.

Well said... I did this when I started domain and all the domains that were registered are all DROPPED...

Seriously, you rather have quality vs. quantity.

Definitely some .mobi and .tv. Good investments, I say.

I would try to buy 4 3 character .com names @ $125 each if you can, then sell for $150 ish each. There is a very stable reseller market for these so selling them within a few days for minimal profit will always be an option if you need the funds elsewhere. This also works for reasonable LLLL.coms.

Otherwise, get a moniker account with cheap reg (pm if interested) where you can delete registrations (.com)for $0.25 within 5 days. If you are smart about what you reg, keeping any with more than a couple of hits a day (park all names instantly), and delete the ones with no interest or traffic, you should be able to start making a few bucks straight away. Use wordtraker or google/alexa to see trends as they happen and you may pick up a good one/two. Don't be greedy, if you can sell a name for $30 that you paid $7 for the day before, its a good return and money in the bank. Turnover is vanity, profit is sanity. :)

i'll stay away from LLLL.com, at least 1000 domainers monitor them, if they are still not regged, there's a reason.

i'd try with .mobi (more chance to get a nice domain) or LLL.com (safer invest)
