Its about time. I really feel sorry for anyone caught in this mess, I was fortunate enough to have never spent a dime there.

I'm just curious what is going to happen to all of the domains registered at RF if RF bites the dust.

Looks like the end for Registerfly. Nice the way ICANN pointed to an independent reason for termination as if the others weren't bad enough.

Same here, thank God. Their prices and addons are tempting.

The thing I just don't get is how RF got so big in the first place. All I've ever heard about them is complaint after complaint, what did they offer to be holding so much business / so many domains?

As for the ICANN letter, if they were really taking multi-year renewal money from their customers but only renewing with the registry for 1 year, someone needs to go to jail.

Same concerns here so decided to try to transfer them to a new registrar. No luck getting mine out yet as they get the dreaded 'clientUpdateProhibited, clientTransferProhibited' message and am told to contact my current registrar (Registerfly). Yeah right, I have two week old unanswered trouble tickets with them already and no luck reaching anyone by phone after hours on hold.

So what happens to the domains that I have
there, that were not included in the Enom transfers?
There is only 2 I really want, but I am scared to initiate
a transfer ( obvious reasons )
So when they crash and burn, what happens?
Should I just hold on and go for the ride?

Man...I tried initiating transfers.
They keep saying transfer fail when I try to approve.

So....wondering...I click decline transfer to Moniker.
And it still says Transfer fail...

Assuming that the system failed when even decline an outgoing transfer shows their server is very unprofessional.

Its interesting to see how ICANN finally gets serious. I think its because regfly owes them money and the recent slashdotting has brought some serious attention on the issue.

Bingo!

Registerfly has a substantial outstanding balance to ICANN that it has failed to pay.
As you stated. I'm glad to see ICANN take action. Their letter outlining RegFly's violations was very comprehensive. Someone did nice research. RegFly used to be a decent company. They deteriorated dramatically ... and any company performing that poorly must be shut down.

I was told from a Moniker rep that all RF domains are locked down tight from the registry due to litigation. Apparently no one can transfer any domain out of RF right now. Anyone looking to transfer out will need to wait for another 15 days to see what happens with ICANN.

In case people haven't read them yet, the two links posted above by DJ are very informative.

I have www.pcwebtalk.info registered and parked at registerfly - there DNS appears to been hacked.

From what i have read, they have no support, you cant change any domain information, they SSL certificate is out of date, and i have 3 domains basically held hostage.

1. Dns hacked
2. SSL out of date
3. According to another post; no support for 2 weeks
4. According to report; billing system is poor
5. According to report; not renewing domains correctly
6. Reputation is going down the drain...
