The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Despite what the PR says it is important to know that the GD AI domain search tool, at least from it's start until today, is totally disconnected from the 20 million plus Aftermarket names on Afternic/GD.

Even if you give a prompt as direct as "I want a name like Example.com" it will only show other hand registration names, even if Example.com is for sale at Afternic.

This development is a serious negative for domain investors in my opinion.

I will not comment on the other AI tools under this suite, other than domain search, which may well be valuable for business owners.

This is a very concerning development. Ai hopefully could be neutral at least to ownership, and reflect an unbiased search for related keywords and concepts. One would hope also that would be some Ai weighting at least to providing exposure to Afternic listings.

I may be slow today, but how so?
Do you mean some of the proposed names may be TM infringing, or am I totally missing something?

Since GD AI (open ai gpt whatever api + dictionary) can and it will generate more TM issues than any of of so called AI naming tools. Also more copy cat names making more confusion ... but the fine print will tell users : as is, we're not responsible for ... just register and use GD hosting + other services.

ChatGPT is pretty reluctant to break trademark/copyright stuff whenever I try to use it and I'm paying for the $20/mo version.

I think AI for handregs by themselves sucks. This is going to encourage names like poolsbykevininsouthfla.com When a good AI should be saying, if you really want to be a cheap schmuck and invest in a failing business then go ahead and handreg poolsbykevininsouthfla.com but kevinspools.com and poolsbykevin.com are available in the aftermarket for $xxx price and here's 5 reasons why it's could be worth paying the premium for a superior domain name...
