Just wondering, have you invested in these kinds of names before or testing now?

If just testing, I'd advise against (feel free to ignore). From my experience, even the clearly pronounceable 5Ls are hard sell, unless they have some meaning or have word(s) inside. Brandable mistype is also fine, but not any typo. Just being short doesn't mean much. Hard to see a company naming itself that way, unless one in thousands chance that it is a perfect acronym.

Oh, and Nameworth appraisals can really be misleading.

Yes, many times I've actually been doing domains since about 1998.

My reason for snaggn these aren't the usual reason, so I'm allowing myself to break the "normal" rules.

So it is more than just an experiment. Until the time is right I won't say exactly why I'm doing this other than to say I want to refill my tank :)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gansu

So, you got the plural of the city?

yup.

Give it a try. Pick a famous city or country or any geo. guaranteed it's taken.

NewYorkCitys.com
Californias.com
NorthAmericas.com
Guangdongs.com
Beijings.com
Shanghais.com
Macaus.com

Shall I go on?

And also I need to point out many of these have been registered and never deleted since 1998 or 2003.

Check for every chinese province add an s at the end. sure some will be owned by stupid domainers but many will be owned by companies who "should know better" and know what's garbage and what's valuable.

You can invest in trending domain names and have confidence. or bid on expired domains with tons of backlinks with no other real use case.

or you can grab a domain at dropcatch that's a plural version of the exact match for a province in China with a population of 26,000,000 people that's relevant to those 26,000,000.

If I showed 26,000,000 people a website called Gansus.com would they get it? Would they click it
?

Gansus.com is a play on "Gansu's" in Google Searches.

If this were IGansu.com or EGansu.com (both taken) no one would bat an eye because it "makes sense". those domains are basically just 1 letter + Gansu.com.

No one ever thinks of getting the reverse.

Gansu+1 letter.com the only best option for this that retains the gist of the orignal word is adding an S at the end..

no other letter would work to retain the gist of the original word to keep it as short as possible.

sure you can put an X or a 1 but that's about it.
domains similar to Gansus.com that are registered.

IGansu.com
EGansu.com
Gansuu.com
Gansux.com
Gansu1.com
Gansu2.com
Gansu8.com
Gansu5.com
Gansu7.com
Gansu9.com
Gansu88.com
Gansu888.com
GansuCN.com
1Gansu.com
2gansu.com
3gansu.com
5gansu.com
7gansu.com

I'll stick to my Gansus.com.

Plus it has it's own wikipedia for some prehistoric bird. Exact match.
