Obviously there are two sides on the TV forum about hand-reg's. About half a dozen feel that hand-reg's are not worth anything "because if it's still there, it ain't worth two horse patties".

I am not in that camp, nor are many others.....so let's try a "hand-reg" thread.

Rules
1) Only post what you feel is a great hand-registration. mybigvideopalace.tv is NOT a good hand-reg. You all are smart enough to know what is good and what is crap.
2) Explain why it is good, and why you chose it.
3) Explain how it could be dev'd.
4) If you are going to say "hand-reg's suck" go find another thread to feel superior in.
5) Appraisals welcome and desired: Give constructive critisism and explain exactly why and what you appraise it for. Don't just say "it sucks", tell them why it sucks.
6) Max of one hand-reg post per day. Max of 3 hand-reg's in that post.
7) Give people time to appraise. Don't bump for appraisals. If no one responded, use your brain.

I will start:

Hand Reg: Crying.tv
Reason: Random search, but it has 22K+ overture, which is huge.
DEV: Have you ever seen someone cry? Women do it, men do it, kids do it. How about a place for people to get together and talk about their feelings? Or perhaps just a place for people to share joyous occasions: Births, weddings, graduations, etc.

Thanx for the response Jimbo! I will take you up on the "read"!
Cheers! :)

I have just discoverd a premium .tv that is available.

Problem is.... The renewal fee, is mid $x,xxx!

Should I reg it, and hope for a sale before renewal... or just forget about it?

I would be VERY careful about regging Premium .Tv's to flip, especially with renewals above $1K a yr is my strategy anyway.

I definetley wouldnt buy purely with the hope of a sale within a yr as many failed trying that with premiums, you would need to either take a longterm view or only buy premiums with a plan for each domain.

There is buyers out there who will pay big money for quality .tv's but those buyers will try find domains without premium renewal 1st & often offer more for those rather than pay away $x,xxx each year on a renewal fee.
Not that i am against owning Premium .tv's, they just are not worth entering into unless you fully understand this unique market.

If i was you then i'd spend time on Sedo, Afternic or contacting domain owners for top class .tv's with low renewal fee's, buy one of them in the mid $x,xxx & you could have something worth more than a premium at mid $x,xxx a yr that may scare buyers away.

Or come to me & i'll sell you something at mid $x,xxx with no premium :]

Good Luck,
Ronnie

Hey new guy, no offense. As a regular, which I am, And even more sadly, as the starter of this thread....I hardly get in here that much. I will try to do so more often though since I seem to be neglecting it.....My evaluations below are based on reseller and not end user prices and opinions. And take them that way, MY opinion is all it is. Do not take it personally.

Hells.tv A plural of this name?
Hump.tv Hellos, total porn site.
MyEx.tv Yep, think "Revenge.com"
Oldy.tv adult, and a sick one, site.
OriginalSoundtracks.tv nice name.

GigsOn.tv

Any comments...................

GC I like it, it's an older type slang word thats come back into vogue. But as a helpful NP member noted, these ___on domains are a bit iffy, but I bet if you hold on to it for a while it may pay off nicely.

Chicagogigs.com has a really nice site that could help you with ideas if you wanted to try to develop a bit.

I registered TOMO.tv about 2 weeks ago, simply because I like the spelling.
So far it received 150 traffics in 10 days, no click, and 95% from Japan.
Can any one please tell me what does TOMO mean in Japanese and what keyword should I use for parking ? Rep will be added for your help.

Many thanks, :]

A pretty common Japanese name and quite a lot businesses using it (as part of the company's name). :kickass:

Thanks for your input, Lzy and cancerian, Rep added.

Does any one know if there is a meaning for TOMO or とも (Japanese pronounce, I guess) ? Appreciete.

とも translates into: Stern, companion, follower, friend, pal, both, neither, all, and, as well as, including, with, together with, plural ending, accompanying, attendant.
I believe TOMO is usually used in reference to a friend.

Honestly, try to get a refund. I do not see any here with much potential.. In fact I am amazed almost every time I open this thread at some of the regs. Many are good but so many are worth zero unless developed and branded. Don't get me wrong either, I am a .tv optimist. If you are getting these to develop than congrats you have a plateful. However, be cautious as fresh regs have a hard time selling in the aftermarket or to endusers. Just my two cents..

Thanks for the comments nicedomains.

I disagree, naturally, but I appreciate you going to the time to share your experience and thoughts.

Two cents gladly accepted.

Schuld - Debt in Dutch & German, could any Dutch or German speakers pleas confirm, thanks!
"Schuld" is "debt" in German, yes. But it's more frequently used in other contexts as "guilt", "fault" or "liability". When talking about debt/debts, Germans usually use the plural version: "Schulden".

Goody.TV

Hey guys. I was searching thru the $100 list on enom, and found a few decent single word names including this one. It's nothing special, but I figured I would mention it just in case anybody might have an idea for development, and want to grab it. I think it has nice ring to it.

Take care .TV freaks. :)

DigitalSignal.tv

Saucey ;)

Saucey, Welcome to the wonderful world of .tv

Unless you have a distinct plan for this name (ie to develop it yourself) then your resale will be virtually nil (sorry).

You might want to have a look at the thread written by Equity as an intro to .tv

It could prove useful to making you some progress

All the best.

.TV is worth maintaining your interest in.

Excellent advice from the Scotsman! agree 100% its a dangerous and expensive game buying high premiums to flip.
Some members here have great decent priced premiums and non premiums that i would go after first.

ScentedCandles.tv taken in all gtlds and most cctlds. I did not think it would still be available to reg, stayed up late and just checked to see who got it. Perfect affiliate domain a lot of advertisers and Google with " " has over 1.3 million results worth $17.99 IMO
