Better check your registrars - I just looked at the UMPC names I reg'd yesterday and a good 2/3's of them now say "domain is already registered". Meaning, I didn't really get it. BUGGER! Now I'm hot! Anyone else have that issue?

When I reg through enom I know within a minute whether I have the domain or not. I took umpcReports.com and umpcHacker.com yesterday. I dont know what kind of delays there are with other registrars.
I'm hopping this morning because I've just got one through GoDaddy. It said it was available, heck it even took $17 from me and sent me a receipt for the transaction! Then I get a little suspicious when it doesn't show up in my domain management section and check the whois on another site and it was registered mid February. What's that all about?!! It was umpc.co.uk. Should have know it would have been taken but still... grrr. Gotta try and get my money back now. :td:
That is awful Helen, Phronesis, Greg. I use GoDaddy.com most often and I have never had a problem so far. Usually the domains show up in the management control panel within minutes of registration.
Has anyone contacted customer service? IMHO, this kind of thing is completely unacceptable.
In all fairness they sent me an email as I was typing, to say there was a problem with registration and if they couldn't complete it they would refund my money. I understand if lots of people are fighting to register the same names at the same time but doesn't excuse a mid-Feb registration. :td: Hey-ho!
