The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com (this expanded report actually covers two weeks since there was no report last week when Ron Jackson was away on vacation). The headliner is a 7-figure blockbuster that becomes the biggest sale reported thus far in 2011. Get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2011/20110713.htm

Man some of these domains sell at prices I just don't think I'll ever understand.

26k for sellcar.com? I realize it's got 2 popular keywords but "sellcar" doesn't exactly have an exciting brand name sound to it. A StarGate alien villain? Sure.

23k for Helppy.com? Really? lol I would not have paid reg fee for that.

9k for crowdsocial.com Maybe 9 bucks for socialcrowd.com sure.

Why do you camel-case some of the names?

DVDs.de should be dvds.de
GiftFactory.com should really be giftfactory.com

It gets inconsistent. You have divorcespecialists.com and then MedicalRecordsManagement.com.

divorcespecialist looks MUCH worse than DivorceSpecialists because when I read I attach the s making it divorces-pec... oh wait.. back track then divorce-specialist (mental recursion sucks).

medicalrecordsmanagement.com looks much worse than MedicalRecordsManagement.com because it's too long without the camel-case.

*Names picked at random - I don't like either of them for a business.

I think it would be an improvement if you were consistent. Choose one or the other because the page looks messy and all over the place when it's both.

I'm mostly surprised an .eu sold for > 15 K :)

I disagree on both counts.

I would read dvds as "dee-vee-dee-ess"; DVDs is "dee-vee-deez", which is the pronunciation of the product this domain refers to.

I certainly capitalize each word in a domain such as GiftFactory.com. Makes each word "pop" so someone can understand the domain at a glance more easily.

I guess Ron leaves many domains in all-lower-case because they are reported to him that way and he doesn't choose to spend time inserting upper-case letters.
