XR can be X Reality or Extended Reality.

Either way it describes the spectrum just like mixed reality.

Been looking around and shopping for a while now, saw many companies choosing to rebrand to xr or just starting with xr in their names..

Those are only some of my findings that are already developed (there are many more undeveloped by major companies like unity/sony etc..)

I think we will gain more as more sales flow through the idea of xr is that companies will position themselves early in the future tech industry business imagine appealing to vr mr ar hr holo immersive etc under one term xr your business will free itself from being labled As just one niche ie mr its smart business thats why xr is one of the hottest terms floating around silicon valley

Really depends what the end user\buyer is specifically looking for.

I think as with VR it works well both ways but you will always get a split opinion on the matter.

For those new the domain game, remember to think of how the tech will be used and try to choose names accordingly. Easier said than done I know, but what may be great as a vr thing\brand may not make much sense as an extended reality term \ brand.

I only got 2 names, although I like the term, I will leave it at that for now.
