I believe that President Biden was right when he said that Russia is going to Invade Ukraine.

Any intelligent person is going to come to the same conclusion knowing that Russia has already decided to pay any price imposed on it by the West through sanctions.

Short of full military confrontation by the West there is nothing that can make Russia to change its mind as they see this as a golden opportunity to resurrect the once powerful superpower that was equal to the USA.

But Russia’s ambitions are not going to stop with taking over Ukraine since it already has made plans to increase its sphere of influence to Asia, Middle East, and South America and perhaps the whole World knowing that the West is most likely not going to do anything beyond just imposing sanctions which ultimately will hurt the West itself by effecting the Global economy in an adverse way the longer that they go on.

I personally don’t like any of the old ideologies, philosophies, and doctrines of Capitalism, Communism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism and all the other “ism” that are derived from the bad human characteristics of Greed, Lust, Hate, Cruelty, Jealousy, Prejudice, and lack of Empathy and that have been infringing on our rights in one way or another throughout the history because they can only exist through supporting inequality, oppression, suppression, torture, killing, and War.

When it comes to saving the World the last thing that I want to see is the further expansion of these old systems that have all already proven to be a failure in dealing with the existential problems that are currently facing Humanity and the Environment.

We don’t want all these political, Religious, and Racial parties and groups to resurrect their past, we want something new that can propel the World into the next Era that is based on the Universal Principles and Values that have been derived through Logic and Compassion and not through Force and Violence.

By “We” I mean all the Intelligent, Righteous, and Peace loving people of the World.

IMO

here is online shop with many stores https://prom.ua/Generator-220-volt.html

We need generators with output 220-230volts

The price of portable generators there is about the same as in Canada. If we can get even four donations of $100, Tatiana and her family will have a reliable source of electricity throughout the winter. What do you say guys, who's willing to pitch in? :xf.wink:

I would also suggest @bondage to accept any donation in PM. Do not post a Paypal link online (it could be hacked).

"The European Parliament has declared Russia as a "state sponsor of terrorism"
This is war and Russia has committed war crimes.
But it is not terrorism. I am against the constant changing
of the meaning of words for political advantage.

global warming is not climate change.

Then what is terrorism, if not by breaking the rules of engagement? Aren't some war crimes also more or less terrorist activities? (ie. by creating a climate of fear through continued missile barrages on non-combatants). Wouldn't his alone be enough to meet the 'legal' definition, if there is one?

I am against the constant changing
of the meaning of words for political advantage.

Being able to recognize some of the language used is the key to not being sucked down the rabbit hole IMO.

global warming is not climate change.

If not, then what would you call planetary climate change? SNAFU, save it for another thread?!

Yup, published in 1949... 1984 didn't happen even when Ray Gun was elected ...it's been a long time coming.

Boots on the ground, this war in Ukraine a bloody horrific one, no denying who is the aggressor and who are the victims.

Terrorism is violence during peacetime for political ends.
If killing civilians during wartime is terrorism, then the bombing
of Dresden and Hiroshima during WW2 was terrorism.
War crimes and terrorism would mean the same thing.

As for planetary climate change, why should you believe anybody
who is not a real scientist?
So, let me quote from a book written by a real scientist,
Dancing Naked in the Mine Field by Kary Mullis. Kary was awarded
the Nobel Prize and the Japan Prize in Chemistry for his invention of the
polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The quotes are from pages
108-109 and 117-118.

"Politicians don't know anything about scientific things.
They just want to look like they do.
Somebody has to advise them.
Who are those advisors?
It's an important question because those people—who are
always having to come up with eminent disasters
that can be prevented by governmental projects—are
manipulating you.
They are parasites with degrees..."

And if you don't know who Kary Mullis is, let this quote from
Ted Koppel of ABC News—Nightline explain it to you.

"Take all the MPV's from professional baseball, basketball,
and football. Throw in your dozen favorite movie stars and
a half dozen rock stars for good measure, add all the television
anchorpeople now on the air, and collectively, we have not
affected the current good or the future welfare of mankind
as much as Kary Mullis."

I suppose there is a gray area, and yes accounting terrorism in peacetime, could terrorism not also be weaponized during war time?

As for planetary climate change, why should you believe anybody
who is not a real scientist?
So, let me quote from a book written by a real scientist...

I understand where this scientist is coming from, and what the government would like you to believe.
If you've done the research, the evidence is irrefutable, but we still have free choice...unless you live under a dictatorship - that what Ukraine is fighting.

I think this is a little overstated; however, I would agree that scientists do contribute to the future welfare of mankind. Kary Mullis (RIP) biography reads like a character out of a Jack Kerouac novel.

This is war and Russia has committed war crimes.
But it is not terrorism.
Targeting and killing innocent civilians is terrorism.
Raping civilians is terrorism.
In a war, an army fights against another army. But Putler is specifically targeting innocent population. That's TERRORISM.
Targeting civilian infrastructures and energy systems to freeze the civilian population without light and energy is terrorism.

Putler cannot defeat Ukrainian army, so he targets and kill innocent civilians to cause terror in the civil population. That's TERRORISM. So yes, Russia right now is a Terrorist State, because their army of terrorists are killing and raping right now innocent civilians in Ukraine, a sovereign democracy (unlike Russia's dictatorship) since February.

If the rape of Ukrainian women is terrorism, then the UN is a terrorist organization.
Read The Whistleblower by Kathryn Bolkovac.
Or you could just see the movie.
An American General was fired for this scandal so quietly that he was
later able to run for president as a Democrat.

Thanks a lot guys!

We have no electricity since 11 am yesterday and I decided to go to the city nearby to charge at least laptops and phones & around one hour left for charging and we have to go back 25 kilometers in order to get back before curfew.

We look forward to getting our lights fixed soon and I can work and write to everyone...

Best Regards
Tatiana

Comeback to home and when we was driving back during the curfew, the soldiers stopped at the entrance to the city and scolded me a little and said that today the electricians should already make light in one part of the city and a little later they will fix it in the rest. The question is for how long.

Is this is not some kind of terrorism - to deprive people of light, the civilian population?

A foreign country sending missiles into populated areas, damaging infrastructure and interrupting power, is definitely some kind of terrorism.

War is hell on earth with few rules , that is why Putin has yet to charged with war crimes and apprehended . You hear a lot rhetoric from countries saying Putin, war crimes and ect. But no action to subdue him. This is not abnormal by any means. I hope Ukraine can sustain through out this. I am suspicious that Iran is shipping in long range missiles to Russia and suicide drones , I hope my suspicion is wrong .

After Russia declared a sponsor of terrorism, they once again hit the country's power plants, including the Dnieper hydroelectric station and the Kyiv one, in confirmation. Today we also went to the neighboring city to charge our phones, and then with the car, something happened barely arrived and gave the light an hour later. With the onset of cold weather, the situation for ordinary people becomes akin to survival in the wild.

Today, the lights were turned off for only three hours. While it is quite comfortable, it turns out to work, I received an offer high xx, I hold my fingers to agree to a counter-offer low xxx

Agreed, sending a foreign country arms in defense is different than a third-party providing offensive weapons (or supplying those that have the potential). It's this fine line that fueled the war in the first place, and walking it maintains conventional status quo (without imposing the threat of nukes). IMO, in a protracted struggle, odds favour the home team... Ukraine will defend indefinitely for their nation's sake. How can Russia possibly keep on fighting?

If you think WW3 is going to happen then you are being sucked into too much MSM crap. We were lied to about the covid vaccine/masks/lockdowns and we are being lied to about what really is going on in Ukraine/Russia.

The democrats love stirring things up just like they are now. Our politicians around the world are corrupt and I personally don't believe anything they say!

I would love to know where our taxpayer's money is really going over 200 million dollars handed out to Zelensky plus aid/weapons and why our politicians are going out to the warzone without any body armor on. Zelensky was a corrupt politician before the so-called conflict and he isn't now??

Many people didn't believe the govenrment then (re: Covid) and still don't today. So how does this relate to WW3?
Putin's propaganda softened you?

All politicians lie. You realize that US is the world's largest arms exporter, oil and gas are not far off...go figure.

How much did the war in Afghanistan cost? What did it achieve?

From what I've read that war cost approx. $300M/day for 20 years (or roughly $2T), more than all the money of the richest people in the world combined!

Ambassador summoned to Russian Foreign Ministry over arrests of Russians in Norway

"In connection with the detentions and trials in recent months against Russian citizens on charges of allegedly illegal use of drones, Ambassador Robert Kvile of the Kingdom of Norway was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry on November 28. He was told that such practices were inadmissible," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a release.

We urged the Norwegian authorities to abandon such Russophobic actions and persecution of Russian nationals on the grounds of their ethnicity."

https://tass.com/politics/1542829

Moscow requested Norway stop persecuting Russians on ethnic grounds? :xf.rolleyes:

Who were the ones flying drones over sensitive/secure areas?

Isn't Russia outright persecuting the Ukrainian population by damaging infrastructure and cutting power? :xf.confused:

What other practices ought to be considered inadmissible?

Russia will continue to use missile attacks to break civilian infrastructure. Is this practice permissable?

Humanitarian relief is necessary to help Ukrainians get through the cold winter. We can't save everyone, but we can help some, or one (like this domainer...)

How would Moscovites feel without power in the dead of winter? 🥶

Well, it’s inhumane to cut power and water in civilian territory. But it’s hard to get the UN or NATO to step in. No, it’s not permissible, but getting any assistance in the matter is going to be very hard for Ukraine .

Long range missiles is all Putin can really do now , that is not going to win him the war , if anything it will only destroy more civilian infrastructure. There will come a point when something gives, it has to come sooner than later though.

Absolutely inhumane, these are not military targets. Call it what you will, Putin is using guided missiles and drones in his 'special military operation' as an environmental act of genocide (not too different from the buffalo).

That is why ground troops are an absolute necessary, ground troops can go into civilian areas and look for any opposition military that may hide rockets , tanks or the opposition military troops that might be hiding out in civilian cities , but Putin has no boots on the ground any longer , so it’s not possible that he is targeting Ukraine military in these cities . The only thing he can be targeting is civilian infrastructures with the missiles , the UN should embed themselves through out Ukraine in these areas IMO , Putin knows if he were to fire missiles and kill UN workers , that would escalate into a NATO response . It’s very tricky territory, but slinging missiles on civilians has to stop . The killing of civilians has to stop , even if it escalates into a Russian Nuclear high threat .
