Wordpress importing problem

i bought this xml file of all the contents from somebody elses wordpress websitem it all seemed to work except the posts dont associate themselves with the correct catagorym the catagories say 0 posts , so any ideas

thanks btw theres 5500 posts so i dont think doing it manualy will help lol
