Hi,

as Photo AI has just been traded for $40k,
and there are / were people with different opinions regarding ai domain success,
what is your opinion?!

I personally think the demand is already there in a huge fraction,
but it must be a good keyword in front (or behind) it.

Grats dude, there are few that have the same quality of AI names as you. Names starting or ending with AI are also really hot in auctions now.

I personally think the demand is already there in a huge fraction,
but it must be a good keyword in front (or behind) it.
Here's a quick SWOT analysis of the AI market:

Strengths:
  1. Rapid technological advancements: The AI industry is continually innovating and evolving.
  2. Increased efficiency and productivity: AI can significantly increase efficiency in various sectors, from manufacturing to services, by automating tasks.
  3. Diverse applications: AI has potential applications across virtually all sectors, including healthcare, automotive, finance, and more.
Weaknesses:
  1. High initial investment: Developing AI technologies can be costly.
  2. Lack of skilled professionals: There's a shortage of qualified AI specialists, which can slow growth.
  3. Data privacy concerns: AI often relies on large amounts of data, raising privacy and security concerns.
Opportunities:
  1. Untapped markets: There are still many sectors and geographies where AI can be applied.
  2. Increased demand for automation: The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the trend toward automation, which could increase demand for AI.
  3. Government support: Many governments are encouraging the development and adoption of AI technologies.
Threats:
  1. Regulatory challenges: The legal and ethical framework for AI is still being developed, and changes in regulations could impact the market.
  2. Public perception: There's significant public concern and misunderstanding about AI, which could slow its acceptance.
  3. Dependence on data: AI's effectiveness often depends on access to large amounts of high-quality data, which may not always be available or accessible due to privacy concerns.
As for the demand for domain names in the AI segment, as AI becomes more prevalent, there could be an increase in demand for AI-related domain names. However, this is a speculative area, and trends can change quickly.

In terms of niches, healthcare and finance are likely to be significant areas for AI development due to their high potential for disruption and value creation. Other potential areas include autonomous vehicles, cybersecurity, and AI in education.

The greatest demand for AI will likely be in industries that are data-rich and have high potential for automation. This includes healthcare, finance, and manufacturing, as well as other areas like retail (for predictive analytics and personalized marketing) and transportation (for autonomous vehicles).

Context: Blender is a very popular 3D creation software

Hi there,

Regarding your question about the recent sale of Photo AI for $40k and opinions on AI domain success, here's my perspective:

The sale of Photo AI for such a significant amount suggests that there is indeed demand for AI-related domains. The field of artificial intelligence is rapidly growing, and businesses across various industries are increasingly incorporating AI technologies into their operations. This growing interest in AI creates opportunities for domain names related to this field.

However, the success of an AI domain, or any domain for that matter, relies not only on the presence of demand but also on the quality and relevance of the keyword used. A good keyword, whether it is placed in front or behind the term AI, can enhance the domain's appeal and potential value.

It's worth noting that the domain market can be unpredictable, and individual opinions may vary. Factors such as market trends, industry developments, and buyer preferences can influence the success of AI domains. Conducting thorough research, analyzing market trends, and considering keyword relevance can help in making informed decisions about domain investments.

Ultimately, success in the domain industry often requires a combination of market demand, keyword quality, and timing.

What's your best ai name?
AiBrainX or AiFlavored. and i was SOOOO excited to get AiVisable.... im so overwhelmed with what I have started with aicg that it took me months to discover I screwed up aivisible, and the truly pathetic part, is the only reason I ended up noticing it was I was doing some work on the site, and could not for the life of me, get it to resolve .... Im on the phone with aws, ionos, and mid convo I look at it and DOOOOH! aicasinobonus will be the surprise of the year for me, and VizioAi could go well . AiBabs, with all the personal conversational ais being developed, to be honest I would prefer to keep almost all of my 79 names and develop them out .. but "Aint nobody got time for that!"

What's your best ai name?

I don't think it will die out like meta, or nft...

in my humble opinion.

AI is in a slow development process, since years.

This is now the first time, we really see something for the daily customer (chatgpt).

I think this is the beginning, and it will likely grow.

Until the day, it all becomes a standard, like your smartphone.

Well, maybe then AI won't be that hyped anymore, and good ai domains will already be in broad usage,
hence there won't be any demand for new ai domains...

That might take 4-5 years.

AI is definitely not like meta verse, nft space, or any other of this stuff, I would say.

Thanks for voting to everybody!
Counting out the potential of the metaverse would be premature, especially considering my ownership of AiatMeta.com. However, I must digress and share my past experience in the website business dating back to 1995. At that time, I had established hosting and website services, even directing users to government, city, and entertainment centers. Interestingly, some individuals began referring to this concept as "Yahoo." Unfortunately, my sites were appropriated, but that is beside the point. I mention this history to highlight the disparity between the internet's emergence and the current state of AI. Unlike the internet's early days, AI has been under development for several decades, and it is why I have returned to this field. In terms of opportunities, AI presents a magnitude of possibilities compared to the internet. The speed of development and the impact of technology are incomparable to any previous technological advancements, such as the internet or cell phones.

While I may be fallible, I am reasonably confident that anyone leaving the planet today and returning in five years would perceive Earth as an entirely alien planet. Technological aspects as they exist today will have undergone significant transformations in appearance, functionality, and sensation. Human lifespans are projected to expand exponentially, with newborns having a considerable likelihood of living for 250 years or more. The decision-making process will no longer predominantly rest with mankind; instead, it will be delegated to an entity we presently refer to as "something" – be it a computer, software, or LLM (large language model). I use the term "someone" to denote the eventual self-awareness that is deemed inevitable. The progress of AI in terms of skill and capability is advancing at an unprecedented rate, surpassing any known sector or metric since the formation of Earth itself.

I vividly recall individuals dismissing or underestimating the impact and potential fortunes to be made with the internet. It is human nature to exhibit skepticism or downplay such paradigm shifts. However, this time, the phenomenon will occur at an accelerated pace. Unlike the gradual rise of technology during the internet era, the advancement of AI will escalate abruptly, akin to a nuclear explosion (metaphorically speaking). In just a decade, or perhaps two, the AI systems we currently possess will appear ancient and outdated, possibly spanning hundreds, if not thousands, of years in technological disparity. In my estimation, we can expect a vastly different world in five years or less.

I would have paid 132 had I known. The tm though, as long as its not used for an identical service, you should be good, and why I own IonosAi.com

Obviously take everything supposedly AI with a pinch of salt. But it certainly wasn't going to be long before everyone wants to get on the bandwagon. Not sure I like the fact it's NOT limited to available domains, but also includes Premiums and already registered.. 10 names isn't much either. Anyway some may want to give it a Spin

It might be more of a search engine, with two options:
Conventional
AI (chat)

I am just waiting for Google to update their user interface...
Good news , AI make domains great again , no single players , change people / company with new challenge and huge opportunity for domain . Hope global economy condition back to normal

I agree, it's a bit rough. I don't think I've used for anything but spam posts. So not me.

The possible dislikes are probably due to the mention of your domain AIatmeta.com clearly a TM infringing domain if used to generate income or even try to sell. Probably going to be safe if you just use it for an observational and conversational site. No ads

Peeps really don't like to see promotion of owned domains in these type of discussion threads. You may not see it that way but others will

It's a rather long rambling text about something everybody is already on board with. Doesn't help that you've then re-quoted the same

So take your pick, or mix and match. The members here do hold to a certain etiquette that you'll become familiar with. Just trying to be helpful

TM infringement? Not likely. Its designed to be a name for a character/email in the coming metaverse should it actually form. TM rules are pretty lenient to the non tm holder provided its not a blatant attempt at profiteering from the others tm. I owned exxon.com back in the day. no sh**. among some other choice ones. I was young and their lawyers scared the bajeebers out of me. Knowing what I do today some 4 decades later, they would get the domain, but it would cost them gazillions more than what I let them have it for back then. PS when folks mention their domains, for whatever reasons, its clarifying, its context, its a better understanding of the exact situation. not promotion. and I dont mind when they do it.

Attitude? smh. I gave you thanks, and an upvote. I replied to you Where is the attitude? Because my lawyer and I have a different opinion on how the TM works with regards to the Dom names than others? I reply to you or anyone when they post something interesting or in an area I am well versed in, If someone sees it as 'attitude' maybe they could evaluate why it is they see it like that, but others don't. Nothing seems to have changed here in 3 months. pity that.

Like others have said, there could be demand for AI domains in the future, but that might still be a ways away..

That's probably a good thing, too. Have you ever seen the AI registry website? Have you ever looked at what is involved with becoming a .AI registrar? NIC.com.ai (the registry) looks like it was developed by a twelve year old and there are only 25 accredited registrars for the extension right now. That's not a huge surprise when you see the half as_ job this guy spent on his companies website. Keep in mind, this is a website that domain registrars from all around the world will be visiting should they decide they want to offer the extension. On top of that, it's going to cost each of those registrars between $3k and $10k to become a .AI registrar.

The site looks horrible and the company looks like it has zero people working for it (the owner literally gives out his Gmail address on the bottom of the FAQ page and doesn't even use an official nic.com.ai email address)..Heck, I'm almost surprised he can process credit card payments and wire transfers from it and people are actually willing to give him that information. Most registrars would take one look at this site and the half hour worth of time this guy spent setting it up and probably move right along.

Hopefully all that gets straightened out before the .AI extension becomes more popular. Maybe then more registrars will want to join and start offering the extension to their customers. As of now, if you want to register .AI domains with an accredited registrar your options are pretty limited, and it probably isn't because places don't want to offer it. It's because the registries website doesn't look very welcoming or trustworthy!

Digitaltwin is available from AI tech and its concept is similar with metaverse either because etymology of meta is transcending something. The words like IT, digital and meta will not die down soon, but they might keep coming up in the future more frequently as AI technology develops. And Big tech company tend to coin therir own branding for AI, e.g. DeepMind, AlphaGo, but by domainer's perspective, I think, the most domain buyers are tend to use AI keyword as their brands to appeal them easiler in the market.
