Is this not a common feature?
NameSilo is Good
I love you @Dynadot

I wonder how much of voting with epik is affected by the political element which I do not want to get into from any aspect. But their backend for me blows everyone away, like I don't believe anyone is close.
The fact that you can see whois lookups, parking stats, move between parking for ppc and a landing page with minimal effort. Pricing is good, Domain leasing and other tools right there in the back end.
I voted for Porkbun, but like Namesilo about the same...
Dynadot hands down.
Namesilo looks like a 1996 blog
Can't use them even if they're giving names for free
Networksolutions.com is my fav registrar in 2019.
Dynadot for me. Easy to use, fast transfer, quick responses from customers support. love it
I laugh at how Uni is doing in the poll after all the hype about them 2 years ago or so. They were supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread (according to them). No such hype with Dynadot but way better overall experience for me.
Dynadot all the way.
Uni works if you have relationship value, what is wrong with them, they have a very high end platform, and a good marketplace with landers, and a brokerage team if you need them?
I think I am changing my mind to Uniregistry. I have 60% of my domains there because of their landing page and ease of sell process.
Didn't say anything was wrong with them per se. I'm simply saying that if I were them, I won't be happy with these poll results so far after all the money invested (or whatever) and the hype created. I remember back 1.5 - 2 years ago when almost every person on Domain Sherpa mentioned how sleek and shiny Uni was (granted Uni was a sponsor); their registrar was supposed to be a cut above the rest, a superstar among the regular players.
But after 2 years, it's a pity for them (imo) that everyday domainers don't think they are the best of the best. It's paradoxical to me that we're going for lil' ole Dynadot and Namesilo. Man! Looking at the poll, people even voting half-broken GoDaddy over Uni (half the times, I can't get GD to do what it needs to do on the back-end. For a big company, they really need to work on the backend. Geez!). Though I totally understand that when it comes to customers and sales, nobody can beat GD, to be honest.
I have an idea - maybe Uni software engineers should be outsourced to upgrade GD. Can you imagine?
I agree with you. I am only sticking to Uni because of their landing page. Beyond that, I don't see anything else good about them. Their DNS management interface is the most awful I have ever seen in the industry. Very basic to say the least.
I hear what you are saying, I think the subscription model hurt them, but their platform, and app is very easy to use, and I don’t think you will find anyone with issue with a functionality perspective.
Uni has some of the biggest accounts, with some of the best aged names. Of course they have access to all that data.
Many everyday domainers tend to vote for the lowest price, and lowest commission platform, which makes sense. Cheapest isn’t always best. I believe uni hurt a bit when tneubmos
Like I said relationship value says a lot much like Godaddy, and clients here who have a VIP account manager probably have a more favorable rating of such company, as they deflect a lot of account issues.
I believe uni went another direction when they implemented their susbscription discount model, they wanted a higher quality portfolio, they weren’t necessarily interested in the newbie type domainer, they wanted those aged quality .coms in their marketplace, and on their landers. They probably don’t have the largest support staff so that kind of solved that over burden issue, and with the old lead follow up, their brokers probably have a better sell thru chance with aged quality domains.
If you have a good quality portfolio the uni platform works, I wouldn’t worry about them given the aged quality of their own portfolio , and large domainer accounts like FMA they do ok, and are moving ahead. Maybe Godaddy would buy them out for the IP, and portfolio, and brokers, they seem to need the resources, and have the share equity to make buys.
I’ve been in the web since 1998 and for the past years have been extremely happy with NameCheap’s service and support.
Life and business can become complicated and having a registrar who can communicate important.
I thought from all your posts you would have voted GoDaddy
We do have a site in Chinese and Chinese buyers. If you want to sell your domains in China you should also integrate the listings with Afternic with the list for sale via GoDaddy domains control panel. That way you will be listed in Chinese Registrars that are part of our network.
I was also happy to see Godaddy handles .es domains now as well. Those were hard to administer in Dominios.es
Joe, what is the URL? I was unable to find anything for mainland China when it was needed.... Only hk.godaddy.com tw.godaddy.com and sg.godaddy.com are selectable. Users from Mainland China may use Singapore version with Chinese Yuan currency manually set though, but it is far from convinient.
