I like innovators, domainers with a vision on the future and domainers that know HOW domains work in 2020.
Domainers, even with a great portfolio, but they think, act and treat a domain like they're still in '95 less.
    I love visionaries.

So far, i ve personally known them and interacted with them, cool people:

@Rob Monster - amazing CEO, & domainer. if you reach out to him with anything, 100% you will get a solution for it -- and I can vouch for that!
@Samer - see him as a mentor & great dude, always active & ready to help
@brandsly - Her knowledge in branding is one of the best (far more superior than most others) I have known in the domaining industry. Reached out to her, and she was more than willing to share her knowledge in branding, thanks for the valuable advice!
@MA000 - Great trader. Top Notch domains. He trusted me with a PayPal deal (which didn't go through) even as a new member! Props!
@NameShiba - Awesome guy, appraised and listed my domain on his website for free! Props!

well many more... but most importantly, i respect you all, whoever you are, no matter how humble your portfolio is, you are unique and awesome!!!

Also, @Bob Hawkes, @AbdulBasit.com, never interacted with them but read their writeups and blogs, super knowledgeable folks!

Anyone willing to learn and put the effort in with positivity and respect for others.

We're all learning everyday and that's what makes domaining so unique. There are no two domains that are the same.

I like reading Ron Jackson's weekly sales reports and Bob Hawkes/James Iles' blogs, so find what they do helpful.

    Brokerage

Dave Evanson seems an excellent broker. 90% of Sedo's high profile sales seem to have Dave Evanson next to it, sometimes i think he gets other Sedo brokers involved in sales (co brokering) so they can say they have been involved in a 6/7 figure sale and have that put on their CV, but having personally dealt with 1 of Sedo's other brokers (won't give names) and spoke to another, i can say they arn't very good at their job and he's no doubt the main guy.

    Domainers
I like reading Andrew Rosner's tweets and DomainSherpa and respect what he's done, ie:- coming in late into the domaining business and doing what he has, that's person who would listen advice from more so than OG domainers like Rick, in my opinion Rick couldn't start out domain investing 2020 with just $10,000 and make a name for himself like people such as Andrew Rosner/Ali Zandi/Sharjil Saleem has.

There's a lot of folks in the DN Industry whom I respect, and it doesn't take much:

    - Those who tell the truth
    - Those who are consistent
    - Even those whom are jerky, as long as you don't jerk me around, and for sure if it has to do with beef
    - Even those who have an agenda, as long as it's not hidden

Have developed a fondness over and above respect for a special few, and at the same time there are a few I am not fond of at all but fully respect.

    I miss Kate and BaileyUK.

    - Hots

@HotKey WOW, yeah what happed to Kate? Never really knew her - but when I first started and asked a couple of (very very newbie) questions... She very politely but directly explained to me why I had no idea what I was talking about. HAHAHA . Luckily I dont get my feeling hurt easily, because I learned so much from Kate's posts.

    Thanks for the reminder HotKey!

The great thing about this space is that there are so many people who step up as role models, just because they are role models. (always remain cautions with who you trust).

What makes this especially interesting is there is not "typical" domainer or domain business for that matter. It's also not a regional business - it's not even "big city" based (like marketing agencies may be).

What even makes it more interesting is we can be having a conversation about domains, the industry, pricing, valuations, etc. & it doesnt matter if you are in an office in NYC, a farm in UK, your home in Africa, The Middle East, South America, China, anywhere!

What other industry can even give you the chance to find a mentor you can relate to, we have a world of them here!
