no- the boredguy is cool- and i can see where you are coming from that its a place to go when your bored-

the "bored guy" can be the mascot-like guy- like jeeves the butler- so it does not come across as just for bored guys. bored adult- that doesnt sound.... punchy, and the site is going to be punchy- i think you can go for it with the right plan in place for it

Yep, you nailed it with what I was thinking. I think TheBoredGuy.com makes a good name for a "mascot" like you said. I already have a friend designing me a bored, looking guy.
