All but the last two show "mTLD Mobile Top Level Domain (4000002)" as their registrar, which presumably means they are being sold directly by the .mbi consortium.

I had to leave out three (beat.mobi, creditscore.mobi, and loancalculator.mobi) as the voting tool above only allows 12 choices.

It was a tough choice, but I'm happy to accept the risk of having to say I know nothing about domains if any of these three makes it to the top spot.

Pred, this is the bravest call I've seen in this forum.

As you can see from the voting results above, few people dare predict even one single piece of data: the top domain.

You've not only done that (realestate.mobi being your call for the winning horse), but effectively predicted the order in which all 15 'horses' would finish AND the time it takes each of them to finish the course. For this kind of odds (a gazziion time longer than a trifecta) you should be asking for at least a billion to one payout. :great:

You're not alone Jeff, realestate.mobi seems to be the popular choice in both this and the subsequent poll - in both cases by a wide margin.

OK then, it falls to me to go out on a limb here and say I think the shorter names are being underestimated in both polls.

Just to be controversial, I would even go as far as to say I can imagine eat.mobi doing better than most of the domains ranked higher.

That was not an unreasonable forecast, but what you couldn't have predicted is that one of these two would actually sell in the 'hallway auction'. You may have said there is no such thing a few hours ago, but there is now. And the results are - shall we say - counter-intuitive.
