Let's say I have domains in cbd, cloud, reality, crypto, casino , sports, realestate , travel, etc industries, or nonenglish domains.
are there places (like forums, social media, email list) where they can be promoted ?

Some people sell crypto email list for 500. I think it is very expensive. I would pay maybe 10 USD for such thing. Namepros is mostly a seller dominated place, so probably there are no endusers here, and if there are they would pretend to be domainers.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
You type in the keyword and click on ad's these people are paying for the keyword. How good are your domains as better still all you need to do is host them and the buyer comes to you.

Problem is: Potential buyers become nonbuyers just because they receive an email from the seller.
But if domains are put on the table for everyone to see, then some may become interested. Something between a monologue and a dialogue is needed. Social media does it, you post something, people decide whether they look at, read, share it. If you tell people to look at your web site which you claim to contain interesting stuff, they will say, why I'm being targetted, and show a negative reaction, and it won't be seen or heard or felt. There is a very strong analogy with dating... So where is that table. People showcase their domains here, but this is the wrong place to sell to endusers.. So what is the right place.
If I have a great new tld, but potential buyers are not aware of such a tld, then I must do something to sell.
Maybe media, marketplaces, registrars create an environment, and our success totally depends on their choices, but I'm not sure.

One way to do such things might be this: create a linkedin account, pretend to be a crypto expert, build some connections. Post some crypto stuff by copy paste. Get some followers. And then mention crypto domains in auction. Don't tell people it is your domain. It may work, but too much time needed.

then maybe it ain't so great, especially if you will have to educate - them.

create a linkedin account, pretend to be a crypto expert,

pretenders are no better than scammers, as neither are revealing their true motives.

By pretending, I don't mean lying. No lying no stealing. Just manipulating minds. Tech companies obviously invest a lot on such stuff and noone blame them for being unethical, and when I complain about what they are doing, noone listens, or cares. It is just life as if it is the way it is supposed to be. Why is facebook big, because they know people's weaknesses. People just willingly surrender to such spies.

Almost everyone here does outbounding, and almost everyone considers outbounding spam even if only one email sent to only one person. Lots of contradictions.

What are your thoughts on listing available domains on parked pages? They go to say SuperannuationIndustry, see the other Superannuation domains etc

Is this effective?

*Future traffic, growing industry, Banks and funds may advertise on Superannuation domains, like Australian Super on SuperGuide. Also have CryptoassetIndustry.com

I've never had to pretend, nor attempted to manipulate anyone, in an effort to sell a domain name

and I know many others in the business of domains, who be... who they are.
they let their domains speak for themselves and let the buyer make up their own mind, as to whether they want to buy or not.

in the end, being true to self, is the greatest reward
and those whom you do business with, will always appreciate that you are straightforward, ethical and of high moral standards.

as there is nothing professional about pretending to be something you are not.

If we want to be true to ourselves, there is actually no difference between .com, .net, .biz etc. But we all pretend .com is special. Big players created an impression that .com is by far the king, and we are just followers. And those big players are not good guys.

You are wrong. This isn't some conspiracy, or because of some big players deeming it to be special, it is all about psychology.

.com doesn't have value because we pretend it is special, or because some big players made it out to be. .com has gained value since its inception down to one simple fact: it is the most used TLD for websites in the world. The majority of top international established businesses all run on a .com. Google, Facebook, Amazon, Uber and the list goes on.

Due to this fact it has conditioned the thinking of business owners in such a way that a .com or their ccTLD is absolutely necessary, and their consumers have also been conditioned to think in the same way.

If you are trying to operate a serious business on something that isn't .com or local ccTLD most of your potential customer base isn't going to take you seriously. That is why so many businesses operating on lesser known tlds fail.

Some other tlds have managed to grasp the attention of certain niches, like .io for techies/digital startups, however the truth is that the majority of consumers really only know about .com and their local ccTLD.

US dollar is the default currency. This is not because US is the most powerful country (and it is not). The main reason for this is that US made the first nuke. People may have confidence in US dollar worlwide right now, but this doesn't have to stay that way. Before 1944 US dollar was not king. .com tld is stonger than usdollar right now, because chinese companies also seem to prefer .com (can they switch to .top?).
I wouldn't heavily invest in .com tld, for example I wouldn't buy a "liquid" .com for 1M with the hope of selling it for 2M. Big western companies form a cartel. So there is a cartel which made .com the king. They could have chosen .net, or even switch to .biz. Google created adsense to run its scripts worldwide, and they don't need it that much anymore, because they own browsers already.
