Two years. It is nice to know I threw away $15 each on a couple of terrible domains names which were: way too long, confusing to type in, and only were somewhat brandable (I think I may have been able to talk a family of monkies into buying the names, but probably very few human beings with any sort of a brain....)
Two years for me too. They (two domains) went for $xxx and $x,xxx at dropcatcher's auctions. No one would buy them for reg. fee before they expired. Go figure .
That is highly frustrating. I have also noticed that domains at places like Snapnames tend to get more exposure than even when the owner actively markets them... Not sure how to change this.

Bummer :td: - It may be worth thinking about transferring domains you intend to drop over to network solutions a few months before they expire as I have heared that you receive a small percentage of what it goes for in the drop.
(Network Solutions is also partnered with snapnames which could be good ??)
I'm not sure of all the facts yet - But it sounds worth looking into
Just realised that makes no sense as they'll probably be reg'd for another year anyway - duh
