What's happened to URLFreedom.com?

Hi. I've been with URLFreedom.com for 4 years now and have around 10 domain names on there.....but today I visit the site and all that's there is some banner about Dietzal & Dietzal (the company that owns URLFreedom) being a marketing company.

Are there any other URLFreedom customers on these forums that know whats going on? I can't access my domain names and I'm starting to get worried.

Have you tried contacting them?

I've never heard of them, but it looks like there's a chance they could have been an Enom reseller. You could try Enom if receiving no response from URLFreedom.com

Yes I've sent an email and still waiting for a reply. I'm going to phone the number on that domain tomorrow and see if I can find anything out.

In the interest of other customers of urlfreedom who might be like "WTF where did my domainz go?"....

I phoned Dietzel & Dietzel today wondering what was going on. The guy on the phone was friendly although not very explanative. His words were (in an American accent) "yeah we don't actually own that domain anymore".

This sounded discouraging but he directed me to the company that urlfreedom was a reseller of, resellerclub.com and told me to "complain" there.

While I didn't complain, I visited their live chat, and described the problem....along the lines of "urlfreedom, reseller, no access" as told by my american friend on the phone, they seemed to know right away what I was talking about and provided me with an email address to contact the appropriate department with my details (customer ID and domain names i own). I have done this, and im awaiting a reply but all is looking good.

So to any urlfreedom users that come accross this, just go to resellerclub.com and go to the live chat or email them or whatever explaining the reseller (urlfreedom) cant be contacted and you need to retrieve your domain names.

On a side note, fuck you urlfreedom and dietzel & dietzel for not notifying your customers about this.

I just wanted to give another account of my experience with URLFreedom. This is a summary of my blog post about URLFreedom's recent downfall.

I called Dietzel and Dietzel Inc. and they said the same thing - "We don't affiliate ourselves with URLFreedom.com anymore." (Then why is your company plastered on the front page?)

Anyway, they told me to contact resellerclub.com. I spoke with their live chat support and they then forwarded me to their Compliance Manager over at publicdomainregistry.com. I emailed the compliance manager and they sent me the following:

Hello,

Thank you for Public Domain Registry Compliance Desk. The domain name "[removed]" is registered through one of our channel partner "UrlFreedom". We have also notice that you have access to the control panel to manage your domain name. Please find the below mentioned login details.

URL - http://urlfreedom.myorderbox.com/customer

Temporary Password - click on forgot password to retrive the password.

Using the myorderbox.com URL, I was able to login to my URLFreedom account using my old username and password. I'm immediately transferring my domains elsewhere, who knows if/when it'll go down completely!

Thanks for this reply. I havn't got a reply from the reseller club compliance team yet, however they didn't mention publicdomainregistry.com to me. The email they gave me was [email protected].

I've just tried logging in to the myorderbox.com url and it works, so thanks very much for that link
