I prefer .in than co.in but in India apparently .co.in is quite popular. There is a huge thread on this board with many .in domains listed that members here have registered including me

India being a solid english speaking countries and a "tech hub" will definitely help its extensions.

.in is a solid invetsment in my opinion. The population is big and it is still growing. More than .in sounds really good in my opinion. In 2-3 years you can see serious profits from them.
