So we have seen the negotiation side of the equation, the lead generation side as well.
Let's discuss the pricing part of the equation - What would you price this domain at and why?

VEGASCASINO.COM

1) Will you put it on BIN or Make Offer or outbound?
2) Which platform?
3) What price would you put - you can share a 10% variation range?
4) Why that price?
5) Who do you think would be the potential buyer for the name?
6) What time frame would you be looking at to sell?

This is to drive critical thinking, see how sellers think, what is the rationale, and so on.
Later, we can take up domain names owned by different members and do this critical analysis.

It might help in putting our prices better which may result in better sales/experimentation. It may also help in moving domain names across platforms for maximum yield.

Let's do this guys! I will share my point of view as well. Let's grow as domain investors. Please add any other pointers that I may have missed.

Casino is a big niche in Vegas and that's what Vegas is known for. I would do the following:

1) Combination of BIN and Outbound
2) Afternic, Dan
3) BIN - $5,000. OUTBOUND - $2500
4) Casino is a big niche. People usually search for a casino and go there. If some website ranks higher, given the keyword Vegas Casino, chances are, more footfalls and ultimately, higher sales. Just one big player and the casino can recover the cost of the domain name easily.
Casinos have disposable income.
Considerations: how many people search for casinos in Vegas online, are the casinos into digital advertising etc.
5) All casinos but especially those not so big or just starting off.
6) Within 1 year

So what's your take on this?

1) BIN
2) Afternic, Sedo, landing page
3) BIN - $125,000, but willing to negotiate.
4) The domain was registered in 1996 and is registered in 59 ltds. Casinos and gambling is huge business, and Vegas is one of the best places to be in the business. Also, I could see a casino in another city or an online gambling website branding as “Vegas Casino”.
5) Casinos in and out of Las Vegas, online gambling operators.
6) Within 5 years

This is good! $125,000? That's a huge difference from the $5,000 I put.
Do you think it would sell at that price in 5 years?

Why 6-figures but? NO name has been sold for 5-figures or more, ending in Casino.

3) BIN - $5,000. OUTBOUND - $2500
This would be impossible, because if you would be the owner of this domain, it would have cost you way more than $5,000 to acquire it.

But even if you would be lucky enough to have acquired this domain for less than $5,000, lets say in 1996, and you place it for sale for $5,000, it would not take even one day to be sold.

So, I would place another point before all your above points... before listing a domain for sale, do a minimum research of what can be its market value.

This is an exact match category killer. The pricing is correct. Yours was pitifully low imo.

I assure you many “Casino” domains have sold for six figures (and probably seven figures), they just aren’t publicly reported.

Godaddy shows that this exact domain previously sold for “more than $25,000”, but that is the highest amount they will state, so who knows the actual price. It was likely much more than that.

Don't go with Godaddy appraisals. It is far from reality.

I wasn’t going by GoDaddy Appraisal, I was looking at “comparable domains Sold” which displays actual historical sales data.

I would put a BIN pricetag of $400k for this and develop a custom lander with a simple html template.

People who would buy this domain name have a license for gambling activities, and they cost a good chunk of money yearly. So you can be sure your potential buyers have some nice budget.

I would try to reach out to potential buyers myself, and not give a big percentage of the sale to sedo or even dan.

Isn't Vegas synonymous with Casino?

Yes, there are resorts, bars, clubs, etc. But when people think of "Vegas" they think of blackjack, roulette etc. (Casino)

Eons ago (2000/2001) I registered... LoanLender.net... it's free to register now if that gives you an idea.

Therefore I would value VEGASCASINO in the low-mid X,XXX

When I think of "Thai" casino is not the first thing that comes to mind... so its not a direct comparison IMO

With a $9.00 +/- annual reg fee, buy 5-10 years and price it high. A low price hints at needing to make a sale IMO and will attract flippers.

That would be a $90 waste that you could've put in, let's say, crypto with an insane ROI in 5-10 years.

Not even a big crypto investor but looking at ROI prepaying on domain renewals doesn't look like the most profitable option when you lock down your money for a longer period of time.

I wouldn't dare comment as owner wouldn't want it discussed.

When I search those words, just one search, there are 4 adds, 1 trip advisor, and then the competing casinos being; MrVegas, LasVegasCasino, PlayRoyalVegas.

Putting in legitimate work, no black-hat SEO/SEM stuff, will see a better result for say JackpotWinner. dot .whatever. EMD's no longer have the pull they used to now that Google doesn't need them. People used to search bank.com or something like seafoodshop.com or whatever, and Google paid for that.

Now search engines aren't in need of EMD domains.

However, they can be useful for say "media.enron.com" and improve SEO/SEM in that regard.

*I'm slightly tired so could be wrong.

Vegas Casino is a 6 figure domain in .com. That is not just some random GEO domain.
