I launched my forum last week. It's in my signature.

You can see I have some chitika on top of the posts. But I am not getting clicks. What type of ads should I display? Where? I don't like popup and popunder ads. Google ads will be a good idea, but my account is banned since a long time (for no significant reason), and I am still witing for YPN to accept my account.

I also have some banners from cj.com on the header of every page. No sale until now. I think I have to wait for one month to judge, but I would like to hear your thoughts.

Rep will be added for all useful contribution.

Thanks!

It's www.qnhl.com, a hockey forum.

Because your target audience are hockey fans, you should advertise hockey products. If ya have a hard time finding hockey ads, expand that to sports ads.

I agree ads related to hockey or for that matter ads related to other sports might help. Also the placement of the ads is important. Instead of placing them on top try and place them on the left or right side of the page and see if it helps.

But not too many ads right off. Start off with 1 or 2..

i agree.... forums kinda suck for ads such as adsense
NHL forum maybe if you can find an affiliate for NHL related goods such as tshirts you could make some sales...
