What to change, what to change?

I'm in one of those moods again where I completely redesign something for the sake of it. The site in question is my personal site: http://me.yarrt.com

What shall I change? I feel it is in desperate need of a change, but I'm not sure what that change is. Also, is it missing any pages that I should include?

Don't suggest changing to a light colour scheme. It's not going to happen.

I think the text spans too far across the page. It's not comfortable having to read from one side of my computer to the other. Honestly, I don't bother reading sites like that. Also, what's with the Linux penguin? It doesn't really add anything and looks a bit out of place.

I'd suggest an actual layout. As of now it just looks like a text document. You may as well just provide your visitors with a PDF file.
