Artstar...i've been naming businesses since college in 1968 (fifty one years ago). Like someone said earlier in this thread, there are thousands of good names that never sell, mostly due to lack of exposure:xf.frown: End users have never heard of names like BrandBucket, Brandpa, Flippa, Uniregistry, Afternic, Affilias or Sedo. Before I learned about this industry just 18 months ago, I'd only heard of Network Solutions and Go Daddy. I know for a FACT, the "average" business person doesn't know this industry exists, thus the reason I see a HUGE opportunity:xf.wink:

Just a few minutes ago I hand registered the domain StealthLegal(.)com and according to GD it's valued at $1,778...and as a comparison GD shows RocketLegal sold for $17,000(y) "Stealth" and "Legal" are both considered keywords with "stealth" valued at $1,874 and "Legal" valued at $1,845. I wonder if Brand Bucket would try to hawk my domain to graduate students at Harvard or Princeton law schools...duh:xf.rolleyes:

I also just registered, StealthAeronautics(.)com...that GD values at $1,209. Stealth and Aeronautics go together like "fish and chips" or "salt and pepper", and they're both key words. Other than this domain being a little long-18 letters, what aerospace contractor or aerospace engineer wouldn't like to own a business named Stealth Aeronautics. Anyone suppose companies like Uniregistry or Sedo would take a name like this to NASA or Purdue that has the most prestigious aeronautical school in the world? (Neil Armstrong the first man on the moon went to Purdue).

    That's all I got...Cheers!

I kind of like Stealth Legal. It is a pretty memorable domain and the terms fit well together.
It is one I could see an end user being interested in. (StealthLaw is developed)

I would consider Rocket Legal a better brand, but it sold for a high price for a reason.

Well thank you Brad...RocketMortgage is probably the biggest brand using the keyword "Rocket", but what's interesting is that it only sold for $1,500 according to GD while RocketLoan sold for $4500....go figure? Interesting too, RocketMortgage is owned by Quicken.

    Eric....your post just inspired;

    BrandWik

i plan for this name to be a compliment to DomainGourmet, however for a marketplace I see Brand
Wik being the better "Go to" site. Somewhere along the way I think you compared my creative genes to yours, or was that yours to mine:xf.wink: The graphic gene in me see's the "i" in Wik being dotted with a "flame" like from a candle wick..

Eric...looking at BrandBucket and Brandpa, I'm not sure BrandWik needs a "tagline". What do you think?
    Thanks,

  6. A tagline/slogan is not always needed but is a great asset to have for your PR/Marketing message that helps the consumer translate, relate, or digest the purpose/usage of the brand.

The tagline/slogan will depend on the direction you take it.

    For example:
    • BrandWik - Igniting your creative desires - A brand consulting agency building brands from the ground up
    • BrandWik - Branding Strategies Defined - A Wikipedia of brands, why they chose them, how they marketed them, and the strategies they used to make them successful.
There are many other creative ways the brand can go, but that should give an idea.

    Good luck with it. ;)

not sure if you or Eric are golfers, but while watching the US Open at Pebble Beach I saw where the PGA is seriously promoting playing just nine holes of golf. I play in a nine hole league every Tuesday night. It appears that the PGA may own Play9.com and someone else owns Playnine.com, however I was able to reg Play9ine.com and 9ineHole.com.

If you happen to shoot nine ball in the game of pool...i also just reg'd 9ineBall.com

Good Brandables? I don't know, but I luv this game:xf.wink:

Tito...that's "good stuff", or should I say "good sh*t":xf.wink: They're both short, pronounceable, memorable, good word(s), and catchy...the only thing better might be "good catch" ....now there's a brand that's both good and catchy. What do you stink Tito? You do come from a family of thinkers stinkers, right?

A serious question Tito, is "short" relative?

Hey oldtimer...this is so much fun I can hardly stand it. Brandables to me are domains that can be used for business and monetization. I reg'd these two today that have unlimited potential for business:

    Heavenly9.com

    and

    BrandPlusPlus.com

Heavenly9 can be used as an amateur nine hole membership to public and private golf clubs around the globe. With golf worldwide being a hundred billion dollar industry, why wouldn't one in a thousand want to "Just Play Nine?

Moving on to BrandPlusPlus.com....after almost 11 years of continuous registration why do you suppose someone let this lapse? Realizing the keyword "plus" is valued at $1,950, how could one resist?

First, i don't buy brandables, I create brandables. How so? Generally I create a brandable for a business model I have in mind. Take for instance; BrandAbs.com that I just created last week following Heavenly9.com. I created BrandAbs after meeting Greg Plitt's father at the gym last week. You may ask yourself who the heck is Greg Plitt? Unfortunately Greg Plitt Jr was killed tragically at the age of 37 by a train while shooting a commercial in Hollywood in 2015. Greg wrestled at West Point, went on to become an Army Ranger and a Captain in the Army, and led 180 soldiers. And this was just the beginning of his extraordinary life. The fact that he probably had the most fabulous Abs of any man anywhere in the world was just one of the many reasons I created BrandAbs.com Go to his website GregPlitt.com to learn more about Greg and how he was a pretty special guy.

While keying this I just drifted back to my GD search screen to see if GrandAbs.com was available, and it was...so voila! Actually I almost started a business five years ago called BeerBellyAbs.com, but it never got beyond the idea stage.

    Cheers everyone!

I guess these are pretty brandable. Some single English words in there too.

I guess mixing words/ compound names like SmartChain or BlockLink. Each one has two words in it.
I think this is pretty hot right now.

Getting back to the topic of this thread, What makes for a good brandable domain? Seriously, the answer to that question is "one that works". Recently I came up with BrandWik.com. and Eric Lyon, one of NP's "Super Moderator's" did me a huge favor by commenting on it. And to think, I didn't have to bribe pay him:xf.wink:

Since, i reg'd WikBrand and WikBrands due to the sex appeal of the non word Wik that can be associated with "igniting" something, or in association with Wiki that gets more exposure than most anything on the internet. Now it's up to me to make it work:xf.eek:

    Hi
Seems you have meet a partner
I have paywik/com which is live on squaldhelp
I never saw your post before I reg that
Am amazed seeing a different approach to It
I was truly inspired from the word pay and week
Which can easily be pronounced as paywik
Funny enough I looked up paywik on the internet only to see something like this existed and the where even trying out an app
Then I got a mail from someone who also answers paywik after I sampled it on social media
The inquiry if am the owner
    I said yes
sine then is been silento :xf.grin:

But now you brought another insight to the word (wik) which I never thought of actually.

I want to ask have you gotten any offer on brandwik since the purchase,
I see is parked at GoDaddy
Why not list it at squadhelp to expose it more
    Just a suggestion.
