What is worth more? NLL, LNN, LNL, NLN LLN, or NNL? I want to know so I can put in order in my domain searching program the combinations that might be more valuable, any ideas?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
3character.com is the guide most are using for valuing 3 character domains. They rank them in this order.
1) LLN
2) LNN or NLL
3) NNL
4) LNL or NLN

Wow both the names I found got regged instantly after I found them... It's okay I still got some other categories to search...

3 characters are being regularily registered-whats left of them. So they could have been coincidentaly registered at the same time as your search.
However it is my experience that domains searched at a certain registrar are continuously under this coincidental demand at the time of my search.I no longer go near their site and I won't mention who but lets just say they like to advertise at superbowl games.

Don't touch the domains for at least 5 days. Don't do a whois, dont go to the URL --- nothing. If they keep it over 5 days they have to pay for it. If it looks dead they will put it back into the pond, and you can get it.

I make a point of not checking if a name is really available until I am ready to buy. You can eliminate most possibilities by going to the URL, then when you are ready to fly go do your registry search.

I have gone back to Namecheap a few days later and found the name still available.

I would like to say LNN.com is my first choice normally! But NNL.com like 24N.com etc is also great names!

I've noticed that with GoDaddy, which is ironic because of Bob Parson's article about how GoDaddy does not "taste domains", and they are the only good guys.

But from what I've seen, GoDaddy does "taste domains".

I don't know, they are too well respected to pull any funny businesss that would be noticed by domainer's immediately. The reason people register names you look at at godaddy is because they turn up in the recent searches column for everyone to see. :)

great tool joe.

Nice tool Joe, It's nice to hear that GoDaddy claim not to 'taste' or 'kite'. Lying scum.
