Why do flippa let this continue! They should ask for actual proof of identity for every account before an account can bid to stop this happening.
Can not think how they could stop it any other way that would really work. What's so bad about giving ID anyway? I think the shill bidding is more likely to put of genuine bidders than showing ID.
Yeah I see what your saying' in the UK it's not a big issue and as for photo edit issue' ID should have to match the bank details or paypal used before bids can be made so the photo would not matter. either way it seems more could be done to combat this problem. Are you serious? Maybe where you live it's not a problem, but where I am, identity theft is a very real concern. Most people where I live would not be okay sending their personal identification documents to a website. And even if people did comply, a scammer can still just photo edit an ID to make it look like it is theirs.
Well the 1.5mil bid is a bit unrealistic but the idea is that you bid it up and then as soon as a legit bid beats your top bid, you drop it on them. Thereby selling for much more than you would've gotten.I don't even see what they have to gain from doing this. What is the strategy?
